## Name of Project

WARENA

## Proposal overview

With the vision of bringing blockchain game to the mass-adoption, Warena seeks to be the world’s first cross-over Play-to-earn Game that allows you live, play and earn in a cross metaverse using your personalized NFT character.

The Warena NFT game is released in two phases. Phase 1 takes place in Q1 of 2022 and will see the launch of the 2D tower defense game. It’s a survival, player-vs-environment game that will require players to defend against the oncoming army of zombies. Phase 2 is set to launch in Q2 2022 and will unlock the full force of the Warena metaverse with player-versus-player features.

- We have launched our token in Binance Smart Chain(BSC) and the official 2D game - Warena Survival on BSC on Jan 19, 2022. Warena has been growing fast across different channels:  
\*\* Twitter: 181k+ followers  
\*\* Telegram: 105k+ members (including many regional groups)  
\*\* Discord: . 11k+ members  
\*\* Medium: 3k+ followers

- Other metrics:  
\*\* 7500 Mystery Boxes sold out in 30 minutes on the Binance NFT marketplace  
\*\* 10,000+ users participated in Warena latest testing on mobile and web

## Proposal ask

\*\* 50K: Building bridge for RENA and WARE tokens between Harmony ONE and BSC  
\*\* 25k Buliding a DAO for community.  
\*\* 175K: Listing RENA and WARE tokens in defikingdoms - We will this fund to add liquidity to sushiswap or defikingdoms or our Warena’s Defiland.

## Use of the fund

In particular, Warena will use Harmony Grant Funds for the following activities:

- Hiring on more game developers to help further develop Warena 3D Game
- Bringing on more community managers to help manage social networks
- Expanding Marketing Department with the addition of content creators and marketing experts
- Audit solidity contracts to ensure accuracy with more complex staking systems to be implemented in the games.
- Implement DefiLand similar to Defikingdoms.

## Additional request

- Instead of asking for investment, we are also looking for support from Harmony ONE to add 1M ONE as a part of liquidity pair RENA/ONE in Defikingdoms marketplace or Defiland of Warena.  
In accordance with that, the Warena team will add 1M worth of RENA tokens as a part of the RENA/ONE.
- Partnership announcement with Harmony ONE.

Overall, proposal looks good. And it’s a solid blockchain game with lots of users and strong community. It will be a good project to introduce to Harmony’s gaming community.

A few questions:

1. We already have BSC-Harmony bridge to use [http://bridge.harmony.one/](http://bridge.harmony.one/). You don’t need to build a new one.
2. For DAO creation, it should be a separate proposal with more details. Please refer to harmony.one/apply for the DAO proposal.

Thank you very much for your response! We are super excited to introduce Warena to Harmony’s gamers in your community.

1. Our team has tried the bridge RENA/ONE \<-\> RENA/BNB and it worked like a charm. With that, we will use bridge.harmony.one for the tokens. Please exclude the fund for the bridge.
2. We will create a separate proposal for the DAO later. The extra fund for DAO creation will be used for artist hirings and community building as we are building the 3D Game.

Hey guys - sorry for the late reply. That’s great you deployed, but part of the expectation is community building, marketing, and player acquisition. We really don’t want Warena to be a ghost application on Harmony - we want it to have thousands of players.

What’s your plan on player acquisition? We would also like updates on daily active or monthly active users.

Also - I signed in with metamask on the Harmony network and the application hung. After several tries, I wasn’t able to play the game. Let us know when you’ve fixed it. We’d love to give it a try and play it.

Hey Papi,

1. Regarding Player Acquisition plan:

- We need to work with Harmony Marketing team to discuss events in both community to welcome Harmony community members to visit Warena platform and experience the 2D Play-to-Earn game.
- On June 15th, we’re launching the Private Beta Test for the 3D Game in Emporia Metaverse (the 2nd phase of Warena Project) on BSC. We can also do another Beta Test for the 3D Game on ONE chain at another timing.
- During Harmony-Warena Beta Test, we will hold airdrops and giveaways for ONE users to be able to start exploring the games in our Metaverse.
- Additionally, we’re working to onboard many partners

1. Currently, there are about 20K users in our database. Monthly active users: 2K

2. We tried the load the game on Harmony Mainnet and it worked without any issues on our side. We can get our developers team to assist you with setups so that you can start playing it.

Hi Warena Team,

As a player since the BETA phase in Oct21, I can confirm the number of active players has drastically decreased from 20k to active \<1000 paid users, can be verified by playing the challenge mode and rankings not changed after a long haul away from the game. Losing 95% of active players is something alarming.

Secondly I would propose the team to set objective agreed upon milestones before receiving any funds from the Harmony team. By doing so, Warena awknowledges the drop in active players while taking accountability in strategising a plan to improve player acquisition efforts. The proposal above to fully rely on Harmony marketing efforts is disappointing and demonstrates Warena is unable to utilise existing partnership funnels. It makes matters worst if any equity has been distributed, hope the Warena team is able to salvage anything from the long list of partners and advisors (Garlom Won, Momentum6; Advisor, Partner…how is he contributing whilst receiving equity??)

@papi A user mentioned they actually have less than the 2000 active users. It is more like sub-1000 users now. " drastically decreased from 20k to active \<1000,’" said Freethinker1.

I think it would be fair to say that, considering the massive drop in users, this would likely end up as a ghost game on Harmony. There’s quite a few good projects Harmony is already supporting (games especially) that are starting from 0 but have a pretty sizable community. The chances are that those new games will be have a higher chance of sustainable user growth. Maybe it’s best to fund them instead?

We’ve submitted our dapp to DappRadar and waiting for review.

In the meantime, here’s the screenshot of our Google Analytics data on Active Users (WEB version only, not include mobile) in the last 30 days. You can check the time stamp for validation.

We are not denying the declining of users with the 2D Game. However, we’re still able to maintain a reasonable size of players and supportive community, whose members don’t just play games but do talk with each other and support one another in many other aspects. I think that’s more important than just having big numbers.

@GeorgeofEmmaInterest Thank you for expressing your concerns. At the same time, we do think that every project has equal chance to receive support from Harmony and the fund should be enough for those who deserve it. We’re not trying to defend the future yet we do want to let you know that our team is currently working hard and doing our best to operate and grow this project.
