@le_goat How different is your proposal here with this proposal Partnership between Aurora / Near and Harmony. As I understand it, it’s via Multichain, hence a more direct and immediate audience is available.

Hi Jack, thank you for response on behalf of the Grants committee. It seems as though you understand it fairly well. The ask itself is not drastically different. In this case, it is about WHO is asking, and we are the right people for the job.
The Amaterasu team is compiled of long term Harmony ecosystem members and builders such as Flu or Cryptina from FoxSwap. Our reputation itself has enabled us to partner with Multichain and bring over ONE liquidity without needing the green light from Harmony (imagine what we can do with your support). Without us pushing MultiChain for our launch, ONE would not exist on or be bridgeable to Aurora. The sole purpose of us creating this project was to bring our experience and collective communities through ONE to a new network while maintaining our connection and status in Harmony.
Our loyalty and commitment to the growth of the network is proven, and our strength and efficiency has been demonstrated through our work on-chain.
Another primary goal is to bring TVL from NEAR/Aurora back to Harmony by showing users the value of ONE as well as the culture and professionalism that builders on-chain possess. We believe our continued presence from our projects on Harmony will be the bridge that fills the gap between the users of these two incredible Blockchains.
If a proposal to incentivize ONE on Aurora were to get approved, we can assure you without a doubt that Amaterasu is the team you want representing Harmony.
Show our community how Harmony respects its builders so much it even supports them cross-chain. Together, we will achieve high TVL and new users in a burgeoning network that supports the growth of Amaterasu and its role bringing ONE over to Aurora.

Hey Mocho, thanks for your informative feedback.
You are correct! No point in building two ONE pools on Aurora. Upon further research you will find that Amaterasu has already created a ONE pool via a bridge with MultiChain prior to the proposal you attached being submitted. So, in fact, they stole our idea that we already accomplished and tried to get Harmony to pay for it. We have also reached out to TriSolaris to collaborate on other things, so there is no bad blood. We support everyone in the Aurora ecosystem. However, Harmony is our lane.

I’ve been performing some due diligence here and with backchannel discussions with the Near and Aurora teams.
@le_goat Bridges are not an easy task to build. The question of “who” is important, not because of loyalty within Harmony (a lot of respect for this), but it’s a tall task hence this needs top talents in leadership, engineering, marketing, product/project management to say the least.
- Who’s committed so far to help make this a success and what’s their background? Sounds like Multichain is building the bridge
- The $1m TVL is a very low bar. I’d like to reset expectations. Please connect me to the Aurora counterpart that’s willing to work with us to match the incentives.
One model we can go with is
(example) $50K grant upon launching on Mainnet with audit, and then
- $35K when surpassing $5M TVL
- $35K when surpassing $10M TVL
- $35K when surpassing $25M TVL
- $35K when surpassing $50M TVL
- $35K when surpassing $100M TVL
The initial $50K can be distributed across the weeks as boosted rewards campaign

@le_goat without getting confirmation that we have Multichain to build a bridge to Harmony, we will not be able to proceed.

Hey @Jacksteroo there has been a working bridge to take ONE to and from Aurora via Multichain for multiple months.
It is linked in the original proposal. Is there additional confirmation that you require?
Instead of this proposal, we’re moving forward with the bridge by Boring DAO. One way or the other, we’re gonna have the bridge live really soon for the Harmony and Near/Aurora ecosystems
