Jon-Paull Birch (JP) born July 1986 in South Wales; United Kingdom. From a young age he loved to draw , following in his family’s footsteps being painters, wood carvers and a long list of artists. His love for drawing came at an early age copying the illustrations of Roald Dahl books whilst also recreating his own versions whilst the rest of his classroom read their books.
In 2005 determined by a flick of a coin, Heads decided he would become a Graphic Designer. With an unconditional offer and no experience of ever using photoshop this was a huge task ahead. To be leaving University in 2009 leaving with a Ba Honours Degree in Graphic Design seemed to be very unrealistic. During that vey final year took place yet another achievement in his new path. Winning yet another national award but this time designing a live project from Halifax and Bank of Scotland’s new student credit card. The card design was influenced by Jon Paull’s obsession for Banksy, the famous graffiti street artist and pop culture icon. This led to even further opportunities with working with renowned branding agency Elevator Design, Call Quick and showcasing the winning designs at the Tate Modern museum in London presented by the national Banks and being awarded with a prize fund along with a free holiday gifted by Mastercard.
Now gearing up for a future in Graphic design and being in a multiple of Newspapers such as Design Weekly London, Wales Online and the gazette, came another twist, his very first tattoo experience.
Taking a part time job whilst finishing university allows you to understand this feeling of pain and frustration as an artist doing something that needs no passion only attendance.
When receiving a tattoo in 2006 this inspired Jon Paull and he saw that this could be on an even better path to express his creative juices and monetise his art. 13 years later a multi award winning Tattoo artist with a long list of celebrity clientele.
Covid 19 and the 2020 pandemic was life changing for many people and even more so for Jon Paull. Eighteen months of closed businesses and bumping into the character known as SKIN. In that short moment began what is known as ‘MADinArt’. They created the company based on their frustrated journeys as innovative artists trying to monetise their artwork, identifying the common struggle of artists globally. This led to SKINS iconic celebrity portrait paintings being digitally enhanced by JP, turning over $250,000 in their first month of creating NFTs. 12 months down the line they have secured many innovative first in the space along with a newly formed partnership with Harmony One blockchain along with many other vital figures in the crypto space. With a unique eye for business, innovation and drive for success their projects are formidable using technology, design and future utility. Welcome to MAD NFTs.
