Whats happened to the bridge was bad and there are always risk . But recently the team has been focused on getting the chain better and i know they deserve another chance to turn it around.
As the Bridge exploit happened, what history shows is that news coverage is massive on these exploits but whats covered more is how the team is responding to these certain situation.
Eg: Breaking: Harmony's Horizon Bridge hacked for $100M
Now imagine if the reponse was strong and marketable and it was similarly covered by cointelegraph…the attention would be positive within the bad news…
This comes to my point that, the team should come out with a well formulated response such as their full focus on trustless bridge, numbers of devs working on the security and tech parts…how they have partnered with different organization to make the future more secure. The amount of funding dedicated for development .basically every A game battlestation tactic.
So that when the upcoming news does cover the exploit ,they get to cover the team response as they always do. Free major marketing worth millions in this bear cycle covered by thousands of news and videos. The team should not miss this rare opportunity.
Putting emotions aside please utilize the free massive marketing
and it answers users pressing questions too.

Up until now, I don’t see any comments or posts from Tse or Li on the hack.
A delayed response, but a show of strength and confidence through action by covering the corner cases of this event should truly help in restitution of the team’s image i.e. concrete steps about bolstering ecosystem security, better crisis management response, DeFi insurance coverage, improved cybersecurity partnerships & routine audits, in addition to code visibility as well for the open source community for critique, and larger bounties.
These bridges were developed with the initial target to be eventually handed down as a community project. It was the highest TVL Defi project on the chain & the Trustless products are still in beta (in terms of TVL, features & haven’t caught social traction yet).
The timing of second series of tweets about trustless bridges was clearly done in poor judgement. Please ensure that the team’s actions are sufficient enough & concise in communication.
In my view, this is the highest social media traction Harmony has ever reached in the past few months & I agree with @jACK.ONE on this matter, it would clearly be the best time to down double on safety & security to welcome more developers in fixing development related issues by taking adequate accountability.
They missed their chance…some major news outlet, influencers covered it with the subpar harmony response on twitter…
Only if they could have utilitized this media traction to begin with…

I had been suggesting it before they were covered by media …
The teams still have slight opportunity… although wont be as effective now .
Brighest mind in tech but market understanding is so poor

There’s both internal and external ramifications of missed marketing. When a major security breach occurs, responding effectively keeps the invested community believing there is someone at the wheel at all times. You’ve already covered the affect on future investors quite well.
This is a tough time on this blockchain.
I can give 4-5 major news including coinbureau use of harmony s twitter first response as the main thing plastered in these coverage .all it says was
identified a theft approx. …$100M. …national authorities and forensic specialists to identify the culprit and retrieve the stolen funds.
if they had a first response that included their core strengths ,their strong tactic and a positive future outlook.
It would have been in those news instead.
I feel more bad because of the missed opportunity to set a positive impact even in worse time like these
No, they didn’t. Calm down, Jack. The actual response comes after the investigation concludes. It’s going to be a few sleepless nights for the team members.
