I’m waiting over 1.5 years for unlocking my money and I can definitely use it better then locked on your platform!!!
For example to cover the cost for an expensive cancer therapy

Thanks I have a health insurance, it’s about my dog. And that locked money would cover 1/4 of the costs

I think that most of the decisions makers are hoping that all victims are going to be exhausted from pursuing their interests and the case will fade away.
They don’t want to take responsibility and always blame each other for this problem, I mean Harmony Team and AAVE Team.
Since the incident, no member of Harmony Team has commented on the recovery process on AAVE

Hi @UnArge4, just wanted to reach out and say the community should be able to do something now. I think it’s sad that nobody from Harmony has replied here. Now that the recovery is in the hands of the community because Harmony stopped giving anything to it, we can pave the the path for the best most effective recovery.
A plan can be drafted to gain community support, then put it up for vote.
I really want to see the victims actually get helped instead of just giving an arb opportunity on the current plan. What’s it is all worth if it’ll never be fully repegged again.

I don’t know who community is. According to the dictionary community is a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.
So, let’s say that we belong to the “Harmony Victims Community” for the purpose of this conversation.
Probably the first step would be to create our own space to discuss and coordinate, not use Harmony Forum, don’t you think?
This is a Harmony community forum, wouldn’t hurt to do some brainstorming here. Just need to make a proposal, gain community support, then put it up for vote. The more people we can get involved the better.
In Web2, communities are followers. In Web3, communities are active participants and stakeholders! Peace you’re doing a great job. Recovery One will continue to show up and take community action. Get activated!

@UnArge4 I have over 4,000 Link frozen in Harmony AAVE and would like to know if the market will ever be unlocked to retrieve my assets. It’s unacceptable that this has been continuing for over two years with no resolution.
Awhile back the users of AAVE voted against taking Harmony’s offer for help and currently have no path to resolving their debts.
The premise that deposited funds, let alone entire markets, can be frozen in perpetuity by a few whales’ voting power, sets an alarmingly flawed precedent.
AAVE had the opportunity to resolve the bad debt in the Harmony market for over a year post-hack while assets were at rock-bottom prices, yet chose to put a permanent stain on their reputation by not taking action - regardless who’s at fault for the hack.
Those that absolve AAVE of any responsibility simply do so because their funds weren’t affected. What’s stopping AAVE whales from freezing any given market, at any given time, and refusing to unlock users’ funds?
