will the beacon chain will be more secure than a shard chain?

Thanks for the question. Yes, Beacon chain should be more secure since it’s takes some of the core responsibility of Harmony network: randomness generation and cross-link bookkeeping and routing.

One way to increase the security of beacon chain is to increase the staking required for beacon chain so it’s significantly harder to attack than shard chain.

Another is enforcing harsher slashing and adding more scrutiny of the behaviors of the beacon chain validators with the fisherman mechanism or fraud proof.
