So i sent my One via shard 1 to a metamask wallet. I cant stake on this shard it seems. So i then tried to change the shard in the one harmony wallet extension however it doesnt show the balance on my wallet in shard 1 from the dropdown.

Yeah i am. I basically sent it to metamask from the one harmony wallet and selected shard 1. should have selected 0
When i try and select shard 1 on the one wallet. It doesnt show the coins. Just shows me the coins in shard 0 despite any one i select.
Your balance will always be in shard 0. It doesn’t matter what shard you choose to perform a transaction. Validators are the ones who choose in which shard they are signing. So…
If you want to stake your ONE in a specific shard you have to choose a Validator allocated in the one you’re looking for
