Hello Harmony DAO governors!
What a whirlwind first couple of quarters for DAO’s on Harmony. There are not many communities that could have taken on the arduous task of creating the new frontier for governance in the Harmony ecosystem. Your perseverance, patience, and progress is applauded and appreciated. The new coalition of Harmony DAO Ops will see to it that certain obstacles are a thing of the past as we build the future together.
As we improve as an ecosystem, and move further towards full decentralization, DAO Term Reports should not only become the norm, but a welcome dialogue for what worked, what didn’t work, what DAO’s accomplished, and how they can improve. This is a chance to shed light on the pros and cons during the first months of DAO production on Harmony.
On-chain data, metrics met, deliverables delivered, and expectations met/exceeded are all important details to include in the Harmony DAO Report. These DAO Reports should be taken into a positive context. The future of DAO’s on Harmony begins with conversations happening now.
– The DAO Report Includes –
- Deliverables - what was expected, what was delivered.
- Metrics - What was expected, what were the results
- Accounting - what money was received from Harmony, what money was spent where and the current status of the treasury.
- Surprises
- Previews for the next term.
The reports should be published on Twitter as a thread, Talk, Discord, and Telegram. Basically, wherever the DAO and it’s community congregates. These reports are for the communities, other DAO’s and posterity.
The format of these Harmony DAO Reports will be left to the discretion of the current DAO governors. The report shouldn’t be just one paragraph on talk.harmony.one. This is a chance to delve into serious topics of performance.
DAO’s that are operational and funded need only to create a report for their most recent and current term . These DAO’s are as follows: @HarmonyValidatorDAO, @HarmonyCommunityDAO , @harmony_dev_dao , Research DAO, Africa DAO, @DaVinciDAO , @Harmony_Portugal_DAO , Harmony Korea DAO, ONEruDAO.
It would be ideal to have the reports done before ETH Denver, so we can have some in-person conversations. Looking forward to seeing a lot of Governors there!
