Launches: Daccred - design and issue credentials on the blockchain

Name of Project

DApp Accred

Proposal overview

Our platform enables individuals to design and issue and manage credentials on that are verifiable on-chain as NFTs, and these credentials can be issues from institutions, DAOs and events or workshops.

What stage of the product or idea are you (and your team) at?

Currently MVP stage with the first Alpha on ETH Kovan Testnet.

Use cases

  • For Certified Membership in a DAO
  • For Certified membership in a Community
  • For Certification of acquiring knowledge in an institution
  • Certification of association in an event, workshop, hackathon
  • Certified accreditation
  • Integrate our API and use on your platform [*Roadmap Feature]

How many active users do you currently have, or aim to acquire?

Looking at acquiring 2,000 post-launch over the next 3 months. still need to figure out user acquisitions channels and strategy, so this is a WIP

What are your milestones?

  • Launch and run beta on Testnet
  • Branding, Design and Identity
  • Launch full app version, audit contracts and launch on Mainnet
  • Collect product feedback and iterate from first 500 users
  • 1K DAU over the next 3 months

What help do you need, or what gaps are there in your team?
Branding, marketing, content and design

Proposal ask

Metrics for success

  • Number of smart credentials issued
  • Daily volume of Interaction / calls to contracts (for the smart credentials)
  • Number of contracts minted per individual per their account

@Jacksteroo @giv gonna beep you guys on this one for visibility.

This proposal fits best to the Launch grant based on the guidelines at Apply for Grants or DAO

Applications of each launch must have prototyped a feature-full product. Harmony helps incubate these founding teams with product development, fundraising, and talent recruit.
We recommend a $50K equity-free contribution each:

$10K after launching a feature-complete product on our testnet,
$10K after forming a DAO with 5-out-of-9 multisig with our DAOs,
$10K after launching on our mainnet with audit,
$10K after 1K daily active users (with launch video, full PR promotion),
$10K after 10k daily active users (with a detailed roadmap, governance process).

Moreover, we recommend a 5-out-9 multisig account on Gnosis Safe with 3 governors from the project team, 3 governors from the project community, and 3 governors from Harmony DAOs – namely, ONEcommunityDAO, ONEdeveloperDAO, ONEincubatorDAO.

In all cases, we ask for 3-month exclusive campaigns with Harmony before more porting with other chains. We also offer follow-on investments – see 50 Investments ($20M) above; but, at the moment, you must have an outside, lead investor for us to match the funding terms. All codes, development materials and production assets must be fully open, preferrably with MIT or BSD licences; weekly updates must on sent on forum; and, all server deploys or mobile apps must be easily clonable.

Can we agree to the above terms?

Thanks for your response.

  • What happens if a DAO is not in our nearest roadmap, until after we’ve launched the product to the mainnet.
  • Also there are certain libraries I’ve used to speed up development that require a license and are not MIT/BSD aside that every other implementation is open-source and can be cloned and deployed as long as one get the license, right now we might use these to speed up development up to testing and market validation before putting in the efforts to write ours.

Aside that everything looks good to me.

The DAO creation is really to your benefit. It’s to ensure the longevity of your project and to create a support network for it. You could start with a multisig wallet for the funds as a way to kickoff your DAO initiative.

Essentially, if I understand right, I can actually make creating the DAO as Milestone 1

Please I will appreciate any resource or guides to help with setting up a DAO, do we need a whitepaper etc or some other form of documentation.

EDIT: One sec… I think I get it, starting with the Multi-sig, then building up along the way.

Approved for $50K Launch grant. Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing this built out with the first milestone for a Testnet Launch built on Harmony :tada:

“Testnet Launch” means launching a feature-complete product on Harmony Testnet. We define feature complete to include a user interface, connection to a wallet (Metamask, Harmony ONE Chrome Extension, etc.) on Testnet, and can be tested end-to-end by at least 100 users.

Funds will be released upon completing these milestones

$10K after launching a feature-complete product on our testnet
$10K after forming a DAO with 5-out-of-9 multisig with our DAOs
$10K after launching on our mainnet with audit
$10K after 1K daily active users (with launch video, full PR promotion)
$10K after 10k daily active users (with a detailed roadmap, governance process)

Meanwhile, to prepare receiving funds, email your identification documents to and create a Gnosis Safe MultiSig wallet at and using instructions below

We’d love :blue_heart: to see weekly updates on this thread here, to keep the community posted on this proposal’s progress!

Superb!!! Will share updates here once Testnet is ready.

Integrating Harmony comes with a fair share of Uniqueness, first of, the MVP I have built uses Moralis which doesn’t provide support for harmony out of the box, so this means that we have to rethink how the dapp is wired up.

Will share POC soon.

We are entering the final sprint that will lead to a complete build.
See GIF demo above.

Integration with Harmony Testnet, a couple kinks need to be screwed out in the dApp,

  • State Management
  • On-chain Data aggregation by Contract (For all claimed credentials)
  • Recipient Verification (Signatures or MerkleProofs)

The credential that was deployed in the demo above, can be viewed here

Until then, see ya :sunglasses: :dash:

Super excited to announce that we have made good progress so far.

  • We have now successfully integrated with Harmony Testnet in fulfillment of the first requirement for the grant. You can check it out here

  • This is the Harmony Smart contract on Testnet Harmony Blockchain Explorer

  • We set up our GitHub Organization and currently formalizing our development team.

[part 2]

In the coming weeks, we are looking to do a number of things such as

  • Grow the Daccred Community with Educators, Creators, and Professionals looking to issue Credentials on low cost, fast, and environmental friendly blockchain networks
  • Build out the Credentials claims page templates
  • Support more variables in Designs
  • Build out the dashboard
  • Do more integrations for recipients and waitlists.

We would love Harmony community members to go ahead and test out Accred today. Until then, see youuu

There are some features we hoped would have made it to this release but, they did not work well, so we we’ve batched them up. E.g.

  • How to manage importing data for wait-list or recipients
  • Workflows for adding elements to the editor

However as we get more people to test and community engagement, we will get feedback and improve accordingly.
