Coinfeeds would like to propose a partnership with Harmony Team to make social intelligence dashboards for Harmony and other projects in the ecosystem, which can be used by anyone to quickly get up to speed on Harmony and explore its ecosystem. Our dashboards can be used by investors, both retail and professional, to understand and look for new opportunities in Harmony, help operators on Harmony project teams to understand their communities better, and help anyone interested in Harmony to learn and find ways to get involved, in a visually intuitive way.
Here is a demo for Harmony and Defi Kingdoms: Video Link
We believe that crypto communities are uniquely social-first, since social is the preferred means of communication for the project, project leaders and ecosystem members. As a team with expertise in data and machine learning, our mission is to build tools that automatically surface and condense information into digestible, graphical ways so that people can easily get up to speed, stay on top of, and explore a crypto project’s ecosystem.
The dashboards we have are very interactive and visual, where users can see ecosystem graphs, sentiment charts, and drill into any day to see important information. We do this in a very scalable and flexible way and summarize large amounts of social data. We also use cutting edge deep learning based NLP techniques to achieve very high accuracy in our models. Our APIs are used by some of the largest crypto exchanges and power news for tens of millions of people.

Proposal ask
We propose a grant of $120,000 (USD) to be paid out based on these performance milestones:
$40k after the launch of site
$40k after addition of other top projects
$40k after adding onchain data
Metrics for success
10k+ active users
End Date
The end date would be one year after the dashboards are launched, and may be extended based on the mutual agreement of the parties expressed in writing.
Thank you for submitting a proposal to Harmony’s $300M Ecosystem Fund. We are in the process of reviewing your proposal and will assign a representative on behalf of the Grants Ops team.
We would also love to have the Harmony community participate to ask questions and provide feedbacks.
If you have more details to add, please do so by replying to this thread.
I’d like to add that the dashboards can be either completely public, or wallet gated. The intended audience is anyone how is involved in or looking to be involved in the Harmony ecosystem. This kind of social data can be incredibly useful for projects building on Harmony, so that they can better understand and engage with their community, and clarify their positioning in relation to their collaborators.
Being engineering driven, we data at Harmony and we love what CoinFeeds is doing. Amazing.
I’m just curious to know how it would justify $40K since you have the platform and data feed built out. We’d love to partner with you to build out a dashboard. Looking forward to hearing more from you about the breakdown of costs, and effort involved. We also see strong synergies in launching partner projects when there are use-case tutorial-like content produced alongside the project @moyi
@Jacksteroo - Thank you for your reply and great feedback! We agree that there is great synergy in adding tutorial-like content with the project’s dashboards. We’ll be happy to work with each team to add tutorial content.
We use GPUs for deep learning, so that is a big part of the yearly cloud cost, which is what 40k would mostly be covering.
For ensuring the models remain accurate, we also need to periodically update them by retraining on recent data. There is also cost to annotate and create the training data. Additionally, we need to spend time adding new projects in the ecosystem other than Harmony and Defi Kingdoms to the dashboard, wallet integration if preferred, onchain metrics, etc.
Here is actually a breakdown of our budget:
V0 site with Harmony and Defi Kingdoms pages
Timeline: Week 1 after approval
20 dev hours
Log-in with 1wallet / MetaMask
Timeline: Week 2
20 hours
Add other key projects in the ecosystem
Timeline: Month 1
100 hours
Social profiles for top NFT projects on Harmony
Timeline: Month 2
100 hours
Onchain metrics
Timeline: Month 3
Experiment and Iterate based on feedback and data to improve engagement and usefulness of our platform
Timeline: ongoing
5 hours / week
Maintain and update ecosystems, algorithms, and infrastructure
Timeline: ongoing
5 hours / week
Budget:
Infrastructure - $30k / year (cloud cost, including GPUs for deep learning)
Development - $50k
Operations / Data Quality - $20k
On Chain metrics - $20k
Also, while we have a lot of social data, we are also happy to work on on-chain data, and collaborate with Harmony team and partners to provide useful on-chain data for different projects we would support.
what’s the conversion rate for wallet-based login, and what’s the benefit for users behind that?
are all the work going into the *_ecosystem under the “Sectors” area?
In full transparency, we’re in the midst of reorganizing our grant program, which is going to take about 2-3 weeks. while that’s happening, hope we can solidify the details of this partnership.
Thank you for your follow up! Happy to answer your questions and help solidify details within that time frame.
First, I think you are referring to our app.coinfeeds.io endpoint, which is a news site. We are building out a social intelligence dashboard which has the content shown in the video we shared (link)
is there a comparable stats site?
While there are a few sites that provide social sentiment, we provide much more context, such as important projects in the ecosystem, social graphs, and important current and historical events – no comparable site displays as much information as we do that we know of.
what happens after 12 months?
After 12 months, we can re-evaluate, based on how the platform evolves, the value it is providing to the community, and the cost of maintaining and growing it.
what’s the conversion rate for wallet-based login, and what’s the benefit for users behind that?
This is optional depending on the Harmony team. The benefit is that the information is only seen by people active in the Harmony community, and gives an incentive for new users to install the Harmony wallet.
are all the work going into the *_ecosystem under the “Sectors” area?
I think this is referring to our app.coinfeeds endpoint, not to the new social intelligence platform. For Harmony, we will make a new endpoint harmony.coinfeeds.io which will contain dashboards for Harmony and other projects in the ecosystem.
Unfortunately, the ask is too high and the metrics of success isn’t tied to the milestones. Also, there’s no recourse if Coinfeeds doesn’t get the adoption of 10k+ (daily?) active users.
For those reasons, we will not be moving forward with this proposal. Thank you for choosing Harmony.
