Spanish DAO Proposal

Spanish DAO

In the first week of working, the DAO has realized that the funds that were askeds to cover the tasks aren’t enought to cover the salarys of the governors that are working hard to have the tasks readys as soon as possible, due that the funding request was only to cover the tasks expenses.

A total of 20 hours per governor have been dedicated to translation tasks (already 100% done), starting social networks (Telegram, Twitter and Telegram), organization of the next event and first negotiations for the Hackathon.
That supposes a total dedication of 200 hours, calculating the minimum hourly remuneration as a Harmony workers ($75/hour) supposes a cost of $15,000.
Due to the fact that we do not have enough funding, the DAO has decided by unilateral vote to make a proposal to request remuneration for the hours that cannot be covered.
We would like to take consideration that the Spanish Dao has achieved the translation task within 5 days, including the huge advance done in other tasks such as the event organitzation is already finished, we are currently in good conversations for the Hackaton’s partnership, and we also are in talk with ecosystem’s project to cover it for the Spanish and Latin community.

Currently, 20,000 ONEs (40% funding task) will be removed to guarantee the governors’ salaries while awaiting a response on the compensation proposal for pending hours. 30,000 ONEs are left in the Multisig of the Spanish DAO to the expectations of the response on the proposal discussed above.

To have additional information, we recommend to read the Spanish weekly report.

Good evening Harmony Fam! Stay attentive to the Spanish DAO updates… big news are coming!!

Thrilled with the Spanish DAO engaging in Harmony Ecosystem partnerships. The future is looking bright for the Spanish DAO with this type of ingenuity.

Regarding salaries for governors, I would like to link back to the Regional DAO Guidelines that the Spanish DAO was formed under.

We recommend the following 5 initial deliverables for each regional DAO.

  • $10k for translating open.harmony.one.
  • $10k for host 2 meetups for 50 people each
  • $10k for partnering with a regional hackathon of 100 developers.
  • $10k for sourcing 5 approved grantees from that language or region.
  • $10k for growing public community to 1,000 active members on Twitter.

Once a milestone has been completed, and funds have been transferred to the DAO multisig, it is up to the DAO Govs (and community) how the funds are distributed to individuals for completed work.

Sincerest apologies for any confusion surrounding this matter. I hope that clears things up.

For further reading and a deeper understanding of DAO’s and DAO funding on Harmony, I’ll link the DAO Funding Guidelines.
