Here’s an outline of how we’re planning to develop the website in Phase 2 -

We’ll be refining some of the initial work, rolling out the new design to the Harmony store, and adding additional content:

We also looked at the Google Analytics to see the impact of Phase 1. We’ve made progress, but have more work to do!

Number of Visitors: Visitors spiked to 6,000/day when the website was launched on Feb 15. Viewers have normalized since, averaging 3k-4k/day.
Bounce Rate: 12.5% decrease. This rate was high before the relaunch and remains high after. This reflects the fact that Harmony’s website has mostly external links. When visitors click on a link to Harmony’s notion pages, Community forum: talk.harmony.one, etc. these drive up the bounce rate.
Average Session duration: 30% increase
Average Pageviews per Session: 17% increase
Most viewed subpage:
Before: Team (~600 views over 2 weeks)
After: Join A DAO page (~8.3K views over 2 weeks)
Audience:
Gender: 80% Men / 20% Women
Age: 83% between ages 18-44
18-24: 26%
25-34: 37%
35-44: 20%
Devices: No significant changes. 2-3% shift. Approx 50%- 50% split between desktop/mobile
Source of Traffic: 4% increase in visitors who arrived by direct search vs. organic search.

Thank you for showing these metrics.
I strongly believe that Bounce Rate is a vanity metric. It depends on the goal of the page for example. Do you want a strong landing page with only the high intentional people clicking through? It probably has a high bounce rate but it doesn’t tell you if the landing page is working or not, it very well could be working as intended.

Furthermore; I think its smart to defined some more target audiences within GA. Just doing analysis on the All users group is okay but far from what it could be

Last but not least; ever thought of having a tool like hotjar to analyze the click interaction and scroll depth? If one doesn’t like to utilize hotjar, you could also set up more events (for example button clicks)etc in GA (those will help you enormously to understand the interaction on the website)
