Augment VR Metaverse
Proposal overview
The Augment.ninja VR platform is an online metaverse for the Oculus headset where users can:
- Access their existing crypto wallets across multiple blockchains
- Get wallet balances in native blockchain and token amounts
- Send transactions to other users in native blockchain and token amounts
- Use their connected crypto wallet address as their unique identifier
- Get NFT balances
- See Transactions
- Buy/Sell NFTs using OpenSea
- Participate in Play-to-Earn activities to generate the $AUG token
- Multiplayer minigames where users can compete for crypto prizes
- Structure tournaments for crypto within competitive multiplayer games
- Social VR lobbies where users interact with each other using VOIP
- Create private rooms for sharing web browser content and presentations
Game Tokens
- $AUG - ERC20: All in-game rewards will be paid out as $AUG. Supply actions (ex: in-game items, tournament entrance fees, etc… can be purchased with $AUG).
- $AUGI - ERC721: (Augment in-game item NFT collection) Players are able to mint these in exchange for their $AUG.
- $AUGD - ERC721: (Augment dropped loot NFT collection) Players are rewarded with the opportunity to mint these items upon completion of in-game achievements.
Gameplay
Users enter the Augment.Ninja game through their Oculus headset, and then connect their existing crypto wallet (metamask, trust, keepkey, etc.) using a simple QR code scan.
Once connected, their address is displayed overhead as a username that can be copied by others. Now the user is able to freely explore the Augment metaverse by interacting with other players in a growing open-world of casual and competitive activities:
Social Lobbies
Relax in virtual hangout spaces where users can communicate with a select group of friends or join a public community. Players here can also transact with their connected wallets by sending/receiving tokens and NFTs. Room creators can also access and display web browsers for anything, from playing movies for your friends to giving presentations to your team.
Competitive Obstacle Courses (“Fall Guys style”)
Race to the finish line while traversing insane obstacles against up to 100 other players in our Competitive Obstacle Courses. Swing on the monkey bars, dodge spinning beams, climb walls, avoid colliding with other players and much more.
This mini-game is geared towards both casual and competitive players. Casual players are able to play matches for free and the winner will receive a small sum of $AUG. Competitive players are required to stake $AUG in order to enter the match, and the winner will receive the $AUG pool and the opportunity to mint a unique $AUGD.
Physics-Based Mini-Golf
Play a round of VR-optimized Mini-Golf for fun in player-organized matches, casual matches with other players where the winner receives $AUG, or competitive matches in various structured matches (“skins”, overall winner, etc.) where players stake $AUG to play and winners will receive $AUG and the opportunity to mint a unique $AUGD.
Users have their wallets at their fingertips, allowing players to easily organize custom tournaments in whichever format they prefer.
PVE Content and Raid System
Take on the biggest and baddest that the Augment metaverse has to offer in our PVE system based on item progression and teamwork. Users start by killing boars around the space station to earn $AUG, which is used to purchase $AUGI items that strengthen the player, introduce character specialization (tank/healer/damage), and allow for larger-scale cooperation with other players to defeat seasonal raid bosses and dungeons with increasingly difficult enemies.
Players gain $AUG by defeating NPC monsters in the open-world or in Dungeon instances. Fighting monsters in the open-world poses no threat to the Player’s $AUG, $AUGD, and $AUGI. The player will lose nothing on death in the open-world.
Dungeons allow players to join groups of other players to defeat difficult monster encounters, including multiple Dungeon Bosses. These monsters have a much higher chance to drop high-value $AUGD items than open-world monsters, drop more $AUG than open-world monsters, and are more difficult to kill.
When joining a dungeon, players are required to lock their $AUGD and $AUGI items into a contract as a “stake”. Failure to complete the dungeon in a specified time causes durability loss on items and ends the Dungeon resulting in no loot. When an item’s durability hits zero, the item ($AUGD / $AUGI) will be burned by the staking mechanism.
Dungeons have increasingly difficult levels that are unlocked by acquiring better quality gear ($AUGD / $AUDI), similar to the World of Warcraft Mythic+ Dungeon System. In order to join higher difficulty levels of a dungeon, players must meet a minimum “item level” requirement. Higher difficulty levels reward players with higher quality $AUG and $AUGD item drops.
Crypto Portfolio Management
Users are able to access their wallet across multiple blockchains and interact with contracts through a wrist mounted user interface. Send, receive and earn crypto, including NFTs and Tokens, within our VR world.
