Name of Project
BLU3 LATAM DAO for Project Y
Proposal overview
Background
Fifteen years ago, “Latin America” and “technology” were not often used in the same sentence. Everyone had eyes on Silicon Valley, watching tech talent flock to San Francisco. Fast forward to today, Latin American countries are becoming technological hubs of innovation and production at an increasing rate. There is a significant shift to Latin American outsourcing in the last decade, beginning with the most apparent reason for outsourcing.
However, even with the massive expansion into Latin America, women continue to be a double minority due to the existing gender stereotypes in the region, like the expectation that women should be primary caregivers, as well as a lack of professional development opportunities, means that women in Latin America are shying away from STEM careers like computing.
Proposal Overview
Blu3 LATAM DAO is born under Blu3 DAO’s umbrella and aims to continue with their mission of empowering women, non-binary and trans people to learn, explore and build their careers and visions in the web3 space to achieve financial freedom, this time reaching out to people In the Latin American community through our bilingual structure. Our long-term goal includes building a Bilingual platform, where you learn about web3 and DAO creation model utilizing $B3LTM tokens.
Problem to be solved?
Only 14% of women earn degrees in Stem related bachelors programs. Latinas makeup 4.3% of the total number. BLU3 LATAM DAO will solve the accessibility problem that exists amongst women in the Latin America region. More Latin women deserve access to new technologies, we want them to see web3 as a place where women are welcome, and where they can have influence. With web3 decentralized economy is inevitable, which represents a huge opportunity to level the economic playing field. If there is a system aimed to be used by everyone in the world, it can not be designed by an homogenous group. We want to ensure that women build this new frontier and change the future by designing a system attractive to women. By simplifying the technical capabilities of web3 we will bridge not only the gender gap but all sorts of diversity.
Mission:
Sin Fronteras (BORDERLESS) Provide a collaborative platform to maximize the potential and performance of Latin American women across the globe by Increasing education and awareness of the web3 and crypto in their native language.

These topics consist of launching DAO (legal entity concerns), onboarding people (labor law) and launching your own social tokens / IDO / selling (securities law).
