The 2nd annual virtual mashup of leading decentralized technologists, capital allocators, and market makers. This year’s summit follows the 3-day #hacktheinevitable hackathon and takes place Feb 28 - March 3 with a special in-person experience inside the world’s fair Bulgarian Pavilion at expo2020Dubai!

The event features:
Day-1: NFT/Metaverse discussions with thought leaders and aims to highlight what Harmony is doing on this front

Day-2: DeFi discussions with CEO’s from multiple chains, Emin Gun Sirer, Avalanche, Charles Hoskinson, Cardano about the importance of interoperability

Day-3 Culture /DAO Day: Keynote by Stephen Tse about the value of Culture and the future of work through DAOs. Hollywood film and TV producer, and others.

All this highlights Harmony’s focus on culture that aligns with our mission to inspire, educate, and enable 1MM people earning a living wage and achieving personal economic stability and sovereignty as micropreneurs by 2025.

The event is moving forward and is planned as follows:

  2. Inevitable World Summit Feb 28 - Mar 3

With Harmony as the Title sponsor, we will highlight all the touch points where we are in sync and bring attention to Harmony from not only our worldwide virtual audience, but also the live portion in Dubai during the World’s Fair. We have about +7,500 attendees from all different chains, Cardano, Avalanche, ETH and Harmony. The title sponsorship is $150K, and highly discounted to $50K only for Harmony because we see a long term relationship melding several key projects together in the coming months and years.

can you share a bit more about the hackathon please? - i mean you might have stats on previous events, like number of teams (solo builders) applied, which platform is going to be used for the hackathon, etc.

Hello Nickv,

Thanks for your questions! I have been producing the WyoHackathon.io for the past 4 years, and Harmony was a sponsor in 2021. Sam and others were present and we had some really good attendance internationally as it was both virtual and IRL. We had 30+ teams submit. That said, this hackathon is going to have a technical feature and a business problem feature. Meaning it will be fitting for both developers and teams with less technical ability but great business ideas and opportunities. Currently 56 are applied, and we haven’t really hit the advertising throttle yet - getting the challenges up first - hence this proposal that Devin is supporting on the bounty.

I’m with the Harmony team at ETH Denver and have spoken with Stephen who agreed to keynote Culture Day!! Li has agreed to speak as well on blockchain for gov. And Sam will address DAOs in his part. Something special is planned for NFT/Metaverse day, but hasn’t been confirmed. Matty and Devin are working on that part.

We hope the community will see the value of Harmony being front and center at this special event that highlights many touchpoints we have in common and the beginning of a long term mutually beneficial relationship.
