Announcement of FishFight DAO Vote Proposal :
TrustlessTeam proposes a modification of the BREEDING-Minting Policy on FishFight.one
The Problem:
Since launch, we’ve seen more resistance than expected when it comes to the use of our BREEDING Mechanic.
This is believed in part to be in part based on the pricing mechanisms related to BREEDING on FishFight.one
Backstory
We initially priced BREEDING higher so as to slow gameplay.
Something to keep our most fierce $FISH from WRECKING everyone in the FIGHTING Pools by making them play defensively via ALPHA Status, because Alpha $FISH can’t attack in lethal fighting pools.This requires them to only deposit their ALPHA FISH into the pool after 1 KILL until they lose their ALPHA status by finding someone(s) whom wants to breed with their ALPHA FISH.
However, the level which this has slowed the cycle of gameplay has been greater than we anticipated.
We still hope that certain players will join in and choose to BREED and take advantage of our 96 GENEs associated with each $FISH to create their favorite $FISH.
However we believe that the current pricing difference between FISHING & BREEDING mixed with the current lack of non-lethal and tournament Fighting Pools has made the value of breeding more difficult to be perceived by players.
We had set the price of BREEDING to primarily be appealing once the current Total Supply of $FISH reached 10k $FISH, raising the price of catching $FISH, because our community is still growing, we’re planning to move forward with a change to make this mechanic more appealing.
The Proposed Solution:
Pending the results of a FishFight DAO Vote, we will be updating our BREEDING fees to be closer to the current $FISHING Fees, with an additional burning of $FishFood.

During BREEDING Seasons:
420 $ONE
to BREED with selected ALPHA $FISH
During FISHING/FIGHTING Seasons:
960 $ONE
to BREED with selected ALPHA $FISH
New (If Approved) BREEDING Fees:
During BREEDING Seasons:
150 $ONE
+ 250 $FISHFOOD (BURNED🔥)
to BREED with selected ALPHA $FISH
During FISHING/FIGHTING Seasons:
300 $ONE
+ 250 $FISHFOOD (BURNED🔥)
to BREED with selected ALPHA $FISH

We have drafted and are ready to deploy an additional breeding contract which will be connected to the existing front end used at https://FishFight.one
