FishFight.one DAO Vote : Change FISHING🎣 Values / Reducing Total Supply Limits

Announcement of FishFight DAO Vote Proposal :

TrustlessTeam proposes a modification of the FISHING-Minting Policy on FishFight.one

The Problem:

Since launch, we’ve seen a few things which have made some of the game’s core mechanics harder to perceive by our players / #FishFighters☠️.

For one thing, initial participation in the game has not allowed the Total Supply vs Living Supply mechanisms to have the intended effect on gameplay.

The game mechanics are intended to give the players a direct control over the chances of acquiring more $FISH:

CAUSE

You hold your $FISH, Living Supply goes up, Cap is reached, Chances of Successful Catch Goes DOWN, Effective Price of FISHING Goes UP, FishFight DAO Treasury Grows more quickly…

EFFECT

Creates more funds for competitions, tournaments, Ocean Clean Up Projects, Community CHOICE! …

CAUSE

IF You kill some $FISH, Living Supply goes down, Cap is released, Chances of Successful Catch goes UP, Effective price of FISHING Goes DOWN, FishFight Community Grows more quickly.

EFFECT

Creates greater incentive for new players to join, and ultimately a cycle of gameplay which will continue based largely on player choice.

So without hitting the max supply, the gameplay related to the deflationary aspect of burning $FISH with Lethal Combat hasn’t been able to begin.


Market Down Problem

Another issue which has effected the game’s ability to grow and advance, is that the effective result of the Market Down turn is that our early adopters effectively paid more than our current adopters.


We want to address these things and like our other upgrades and changes, we believe this one will be an overall improvement on the game.


The Proposed Solution:

Pending the results of a FishFight DAO Vote, we will be updating our contract related to FISHING/Minting.

Current FISHING Values:


MAX FISHING Supply

20,000 $FISH

100% FISHING SUCCESS SUPPLY CAP

10,000 $FISH


New (If Approved) FISHING Values:


MAX FISHING Supply

10,000 $FISH

100% FISHING SUCCESS SUPPLY CAP

2,500 $FISH



Implementation

  1. Please comment below if you have anything to add regarding this proposal.
  2. We will be bringing this to a Snapshot.org FishFight DAO Vote shortly after this post goes live.a. This will be a 1 $FISH / $DEADFISH → 1 Vote DAO Proposal
  3. We have drafted and are ready to deploy an additional FISHING contract which will be connected to the existing front end used at https://FishFight.one
  4. The new FISHING contract will be deployed and connected within 30 days of when the DAO Vote closes successfully.

CURRENT FISHING CHANCE OF SUCCESS AGAINST LIVING SUPPLY

PROPOSED FISHING CHANCE OF SUCCESS AGAINST LIVING SUPPLY

Our #FishFighters have spoken and it was unanimous approval of the change to the total supply to 10,000 $FISH and changing the 100% Success Rate for FISHING to end at 25% of the total supply.

This change will be deployed within the next 30 days (unless otherwise stated).

Any $FISH which are caught between now and the new deployment will remain valid but no actual affect on Gameplay will change until we have 2500 LIVING $FISH.
