ONE Desert: a WebXR NFT game in the Blue Metaverse
Proposal overview
We are creating a WebXR (browser-based) multiplayer NFT game about “A Battle In ONE Desert” where Blue Apes are battling and searching for treasures. This is an easy-to-drop-in web-based FPS + scavenger hunt game. When a player clicks on a URL in the desktop web browser (e.g., Chrome), they enter the battlefield in the ONE Desert. While in game, players can communicate to each other through a spatial voice chat or through text-based chats.
Each battle is about a 5-min duration to determine a winner. Game winners are awarded with tokens as experience points and NFTs that unlock wearables, special abilities (like flying), and access to boss fights. There will also be special treasure NFTs granting the access of editing the desert world into a new battlefield. Players will also be rewarded extra when submitting answers of riddles in 1Wallet.

Metrics for success
demonstrating how NFTs (on both ETH mainnet and Harmony as L2) can be used as core game components as player’s avatars (Blue Apes), wearables, abilities, and access to experimental features such as world editing in web-based 3D environments (WebXR).
launching NFT integration on Harmony testnet on the week of April 11th, 2022.
building a Discord community of 1000+ players, game devs, and web3 devs in 3-5 weeks after launching on Harmony mainnet.

“Testnet Launch” means launching a feature-complete product on Harmony Testnet. We define feature complete to include a user interface, connection to a wallet (Metamask, Harmony ONE Chrome Extension, etc.) on Testnet, and can be tested end-to-end by at least 100 users.
