HarmonApe aims to be the leading community crypto project on the Harmony One ecosystem. We’re building a home for Happy Harmony Apes, a place for the Harmony community to assemble, new apes to onboard and for a new community owned crypto to emerge to drive the world bananas.

The HarmonApe ecosystem is comprised of the following:

  • Phase 1: Our deflationary ecosystem token ($APE)
  • Phase 2: 5,000 limited edition NFTS
  • Phase 3: A Jungle Metaverse game

We launched HarmonApe on Sunday 14th November with the release of our deflationary ecosystem token $APE. The launch was an entirely fair launch, no presale or whitelist; $APE was whitelisted on Mochiswap and liquidity added at 1800 UTC. Everyone, including the team, had the opportunity to buy $APE at the same time. We had an excellent launch, and the community has built since then:

  • Over 450 holders
  • More 5% of the entire supply burnt through transactions alone
  • Farms and pools w/ high APYs on both APE-ONE and other LPs
  • Partnerships with long standing communities on Harmony
  • A vibrant and active community across Twitter and Telegram
    $APE will also serve as the in-game currency for the Jungle Metaverse game (exact tokenomics TBC).

The next stage of our ecosystem is an NFT launch on a platform created by our team, open sourced and available for use by any new NFT project that wishes to launch on there.

Our NFTs will be fairly priced and launched and will operate as your tickets and characters to our upcoming Jungle Metaverse game. Harmon Ape "H1"s will be the rarest characters in the game, created only by minting and not creatable by playing the game. We’d love them to become representative of the Harmony One community, helping to attract new apes into Harmony and serving as symbols of how early we all were to ONE.

The third stage of the ecosystm is our P2E Jungle Metaverse game which we plan to launch in second half of 2022.

Our upcoming Ape Jungle Metaverse game is a DeFi MMORPG where players explore the jungle, mine and harvest resources to build and curate their jungle realm in a PVP setting. Players will have full ownership of NFT characters and land and will be able to play-to-earn by trading in-game NFTs and other in-game resources.

Whilst just 5000 “H1” Ape NFTs will be available to mint (and tradable on our secondary marketplace) other less rare jungle characters will become un-lockable by playing the game.

Players who own a “H1” character Can also loan their Harmonape NFT to new players who can in turn own their own jungle character NFT in order to earn a passive income whilst opening up the jungle metaverse to new players. We want to open up our game to everyone - not just members of the community with the deepest pockets and/or those who came early so we’re always building ways to encourage and incentives new players to join both the Harmonape Ecosystem and Harmony blockchain itself

Proposal ask

$50k to support launching the launch of our community NFT platform and Jungle Metaverse Game

Justification

We’d use the funds to secure the highest level of security audit as well as hiring across our core team in order to hire an additional rockstar developer to help build our metaverse game for the benefit of all of the harmony community

We strive to build a vibrant community through our deflationary token ($APE), NFTs and metaverse game and will never sell APE tokens to do so.

Metrics for success

  • End to end development our NFT minting platform by 30 January 2021 including our own successful NFT minting
  • An active community of NFT creators launching on our free to use platform
  • Formation of a community DAO
  • Launch of our Jungle Metaverse game on testnet
  • Launch of our Jungle Metaverse game on mainnet

I really hope that this grant gets approved!! The team is in constant communication with the community and is really transparent! As a holder and fan of the project this would be a good look for the Harmony Community! Can’t wait for the Jungle metaverse game and the NFT! #HamonAPE

Thanks for the submission @Harmonape_Team. Looking at your roadmap and website shows you folks have a good amount planned for your project. That’s exciting stuff. I also noticed your NFT minting is already on Harmony testnet so that’s a head start.

As a launch grant, we would have to fit your plans into the following distribution schedule:

$10K after launching a feature-complete product on our testnet
$10K after forming a DAO with 5-out-of-9 multisig with our DAOs
$10K after launching on our mainnet with audit
$10K after 1K daily active users (with launch video, full PR promotion)
$10K after 10k daily active users (with a detailed roadmap, governance process)

Since you have a two major items slated as upcoming releases under this proposal (NFT platform and metaverse game), can you tell me how that fits into the distribution schedule above?

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your response and the information you helpfully provided on the distribution schedule. We will take your guidance on how best to frame the HarmonaApe ecosystem into your distribution schedule, and have provided some information below that should help inform this guidance.

We propose focusing the launch grant on the launch of our NFT collection and the minting platform we are developing alongside it. This is the first part of the platform we are building that requires capital to support in terms of design and development time and resources; we also intend to use some of the capital raised through a successful NFT launch to fund part of our development costs for the Jungle Metaverse game. Therefore we would be grateful if the launch grant could be used to enable the NFT platform in our ecosystem.

Since our entirely fair launch in early November we have developed a very active and engaged community of over 500 HarmonApe holders, over 400 active Telegram users and over 1000 Twitter followers. The Harmony community is engaging actively, symbolised by the number of Harmony validators who are now holders and active in our Telegram. We are driving daily engagement with the Harmony ecosystem.

Our MVP of the NFT minting platform is already live on Testnet and development efforts continue to ensure it is ready for mainnet. We intend to open source the code for this to help other builders in the Harmony ecosystem. The NFTs themselves, apart from having utility in our game, will be beautifully crafted and we hope will become objects of desire that will help bring new community members to the Harmony ecosystem (a stated ambition of our project).

Following the successful launch of our NFT platform, we would be looking to properly fund development efforts of our Jungle Metaverse game and would be delighted to engage with the Harmony team again regarding a separate grant/investment proposal then, if that’s something your team would consider.

Hope you’re doing well HarmonApe team :monkey_face: I’m happy to know you folks are engaged with the community and thank you for the kind tweet. I read your response above, re-read your original post and wanted to request an adjustment.

Due to the number of NFT minting platforms coming through Harmony, we feel the HarmonApe game is where your team can bring the most utility and value to our ecosystem. The art work you’ve created for NFT minting is great, but the game is what will bring some longevity to the project. That said, I would like to propose the $50K grant helps to launch your online game instead of NFT minting.

Totally understand the number of NFT minting platforms on Harmony and thus the request to make an adjustment to the grant proposal in favour of our metaverse game. Since both Desiree are core to our roadmap we are more than happy to shift the focus of the grant towards our metaverse game if this is to add more value to Harmony as an ecosystem :blue_heart:
In principle, happy to agree to the adjustment towards the grant being for the game as feel feel this is one of the key priorities in setting Harmonape apart and driving value to the harmony ecosystem :gorilla::fire:.

With this said, our main concern would be fitting the typical grant distribution structure into funding game development due to the longer time horizon it will take us to build out the game.
Is there scope to adjust the grant schedule such that, with agreed criteria, we can unlock more of the grant at an earlier point of time in development than might typically be project

As we discussed, Harmony is interested in your project and would love to continue our grant conversation with a focus on your upcoming game. We feel the game will add utility and value-add to the Harmony ecosystem in a way that is unlike generative NFTs.
