Proposal overview

Allbridge’s mission is to make the blockchain world borderless and provide a tool to freely move assets between various blockchains.

Launching a bridge to Harmony would open it up to the significant influx of users from the blockchains that we currently support, bringing in more liquidity and allowing other users to interact with Harmony’s ecosystem. With over 150,000 active users we believe that the Harmony network would see some good traction.

This bridge may also invite other developers and projects to build on Harmony’s protocol and contribute to the ecosystem’s expansion. We believe that integrating Harmony with Allbridge would be mutually beneficial for all parties involved.

Allbridge’s development team is highly experienced when it comes to cross-chain integrations, both EVM and non-EVM alike. At the moment, we’ve bridged 10 different networks, namely Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Solana, Avalanche, HECO, Celo, Fantom, Terra, and Aurora with 2 more on the way (NEAR Protocol and Tezos).

To complete the integration, we would like to request a total of $40,000. We plan to finish the bridge in a month and we split the entire process into two milestones. One of them would be the development advance (half of the amount requested), and the second part of the grant will be paid once the bridge is complete.

Proposal ask

The estimated total budget for the integration would be equivalent of $40,000. After the advance, the integration will begin. The finished bridge to Harmony would signify the project’s competition.

50% of the funds will be paid upfront to the Allbridge team to get the necessary number of developers on board. The remaining 50% will be paid once the bridge is live and operational.

Metrics for success

  1. Development advance
  • We would like to complete the integration in two steps, equally dividing the funding between the two.
  • We will begin on February 1st with a 50% advance, dedicated to hiring new developers, providing them with sufficient salary to work on the bridge, and equipping them with the necessary tools.
  • Cost: $20,000
  1. Bridge’s completion
  • The main deliverable here would be the bridge’s completion. By February 28, we would have integrated Harmony with Allbridge’s ecosystem.
  • The final product assumes adding Harmony as one of the chains on our bridge and at least one token (ABR) to be bridged to and from Harmony with all of the supported chains: Ethereum/BSC/HECO/Avalanche/Polygon/ Fantom/Celo/Solana/Terra/Aurora.
  • Cost: $20,000
