Another short update from our end. We’ve recently seen another spike of organic traffic. This time in the form of YouTube reviews of the game, as well a few people starting to stream the game on twitch. This led to new records in game played, culminating at over 100K yesterday. This is more than 50% up from our last update two weeks ago. and 9x what we had when we submitting our grant proposal 2 months ago.
What I liked the most about the game is that it provides equal opportunities for all players. Sometimes you feel good if you win and sometimes you get angry if you lose. I find it fun to play with .This is the feature of classic games. thank you for bringing back almost forgotten memories .more success .
Game has been discovered and reviewed on YouTube by South American communities, driving more players to the game. New peak of 291,361 games played in 24 hours .
50% higher than the last update two weeks ago.
23x growth from the original grant proposal at the top of this thread.
To cater to the recent spike in growth from Latin America, Crypto Royale has now gone live with a 6th server, located in Sao Paulo. Here is a map of our last 50,000 visitors, along with our server locations.
We are pleased to announce that Crypto Royale has just received some funding to help accelerate its growth in the Play-to-Earn space, and beyond. The seed round was led by DFKDAO, who have brought in a total investment of USD$275,000. DFKDAO is a guild and early stage investor in crypto that originally started by becoming the guild with the most assets in DefiKingdoms. They, led by a select group of members, invested into this round and will be an active investor who brings a lot of know how and network in the areas of tokenomics, game development, esports and community building.
Thank you for your kind words. With the funding securing a short runway, we’ve been mostly keeping our heads down and building. Our massive growth during the last bull run exposed a few weaknesses, which we are focusing on:
Improving the game economy / unit economics
Improving new player retention
Adding replayability / variety
We’ve made great strides on the economy (1) and the game is almost self-sustaining now, with very little inflation. You can see this by the two charts below showing the token inflation [a], as the well as the price of the token against ONE over the last 3 months [b]. This was accomplished mostly through a game feature called Skin Wars, where players can buy skins and compete for rewards: https://cryptoroyale.one/skinwars
New player retention (2) is being improved through SBMM (skill-based-matchmaking, already launched), and a new UI that provides newer players a sense of progression, even when they are mostly losing games. This will launch in 1-2 weeks.
Replayability (3) is being tackled through new games and modes. For example, we are getting closer to releasing our second game, Bullet Royale which was recently showcased in a closed beta event: Bullet Royale - Theta.TV Tournament. Here’s a little gameplay video below.
Skinwars has been great so far in giving skins a purpose aswell as getting players to play more when there are close races to 1st at the end of the day. Looking forward to the future
