Proposal overview
CryptoMondays San Francisco a decentralized global community that shares a passion for crypto, blockchain and how it’s going to change the world in dramatic ways. We are one of 70 global CryptoMonday chapters. CryptoMondays San Francisco offers fantastic content from panelists to presentations, as well as a place to network. Our goal is to bring the crypto experts and crypto curious folks together, and help educate folks about web3.
We currently hold one event per month in San Francisco. We held our first event on March 21st at The Alchemist, and our next event is scheduled to take place on May 2nd at Harper and Rye. We are currently working on finding one venue where we can host the rest of the CryptoMonday events for the year.
Proposal ask
As a small, volunteer-based, group, CryptoMondays San Francisco seeking a symbiotic relationship with Harmony to fund monthly events, while providing speaking opportunities for folks from Harmony. We are also more than happy to distribute Harmony “swag” and add the Harmony logo to all outreach and promotional content.
CryptoMondays San Francisco needs at least $2,000 per event to be able to provide food and/or drinks to attendees and pay for the venue fee. Our ask is for $14,000, which will cover 7 CryptoMonday events throughout the rest of 2022. If Harmony is unable to fund all of our events, we would appreciate $4,000 to cover 2 events, while we seek other funding.
Metrics for success
Our first CryptoMondays San Francisco meeting had around 50 attendees. We have expanded our network greatly in the past month and created a Telegram with 150 people in crypto in the Bay Area. We are expecting upward of 50 attendees at our next event. We are measuring success on growing the number of attendees at each event.
