Proposal overview
Do[NFT] is a decentralized protocol offering AI-powered NFT modification.
Using the protocol, NFT holders can mint brand new NFTs using their existing NFT assets. The new NFT is inextricably linked with an initial one. The new NFT asset is modified initial NFT created by the application of AI-generated effects such as gif animation, filters, artistic noise, etc. The modification is done by neural network algorithms and the result cannot be exactly predicted. It leads to an opportunity to mint different NFTs, including rare ones that nobody could even expect. Such an approach allows offering a brand new experience and a lot of fun/opportunities to grow their collection to NFT owners.
It is a permissionless dApp where anybody can offer a new AI-based filter, animation technique, or face aging algorithm for community usage (for free or charging certain service fees).
Our goal is to build a dApp offering to its users a broad variety of NFT filters/modifiers (provided mainly by community contributors) and:

Get integrated into leading NFT marketplaces allowing to modify any existing NFT there on-the-fly

Become “masks and filters of Instagram” for the NFT world.
How it works
- The user chooses NFT for modification
- The user chooses modificator NFT
- The user executes the mint method of DO[NFT] smart contract for locked selected NFT and modificator NFT in DO[NFT] smart contract
- The user receives a modified NFT to his wallet with new content (a product of machine learning algorithms with chosen NFTs as inputs. Nobody could exactly predict the result before executing the minting function.
- While new NFT exists (until it is burnt) the initial NFT is locked in a smart contract
As nobody could accurately predict the results of modification (it leads to an endless variety of different outcomes) such a service provides a lot of fun based on the Skinner box effect. It means that the NFT community will be engaged in minting, trading, discussing the results, or even creating a whole generative art gallery from a single Bored Ape NFT.
DO[NFT] protocol charges a service fee from all sales of AI-based effects in the protocol. Basically, it means a certain fee from every Dynamic Ownable NFT mint.
The current state of development:
Recently we created MVP during the EthLisbon Hackathon. It was deployed on Ethereum testnet. We already have minted the DO NFTs for Min Teo, Austin Griffith, Roman Storm (co-founder of Tornado.cash), Anton Bukov (co-founder of 1INCH), Igor Igamberdiev (researcher at TheBlock) and have a backlog for minting new NFTs (we are doing it manually yet). We’re going to attract 1000 active users in 3 months.
Our roadmap includes deployment on several blockchain Harmony, Ethereum, and Near by January.
We are requesting $50K in equity-free contribution: $10K after launching a feature-complete product on testnet, $10K after mainnet launch, $10K after forming a DAO for our community, and $20K for after 10K users. As well as funding, we are looking for Harmony’s help with product development and fundraising.
