The way NFTs and P2E games are booming right now is quite astounding. Many blockchains are benefiting from it and Harmony should be doing the same. I think this proposal with the experienced team will address the issue and will bring good awareness about the ecosystem and it’s advantages. Best of luck.

NFT’s are certainly gaining traction everywhere in the crypto-sphere. I think what has been proposed here is a fabulous idea. And I would like to point you to the @HarmonyCommunityDAO and @HarmonyCreativeDAO to find collaboration opportunities before we move forward with this proposal.

Since you have suggested us to explore collaboration opportunities, we would like you to know that collaborations with Harmony Family DAOs like @HarmonyCommunityDAO, @HarmonyCreativeDAO, @DaVinciDAO and a few country specific DAOs are already part of the plan for us during the first term of the DAO. Infact, we are already in talks with the Community DAO and in process of forwarding them a few talking points during their next governors meeting.
Apart from Harmony Family DAOs, we have solid working relationships with groups and people who are committed to supporting our DAO involving NFT communities on other blockchains, Youtubers and influencers. We will team up with them to onboard users, increase engagement and host events once the DAO kicks off. Thank you.

Do you have a website where you’ll host your content and grow the community long-term, or you’re planning on interacting only with Twitter, Discord, Telegram and YouTube?
I’d like to gain a little more clarity on what your platform management plans are for the growth, dynamics and retention of the community in the ecosystem.

Thank you for the meaningful question.
We have multiple things planned as mentioned in the proposal and an SEO optimized website is one of them. The website will not only be used to post our content but also will be a place where people will get to know about the Harmony NFT ecosystem (HNE) and get information about projects on it. It will also have space for advertising new and upcoming projects, links to videos, links to Harmony recognized social media channels, infographics, an events calendar, and testimonials from artists and creators as well. During the next phase of the DAO, we intend to add more features like a form-based onboarding process for artists and developers and a discussion forum for them. The long terms goal of the website will be a one-stop source for all things related to HNE. The requirements and specifications of the website are not finalized yet but we hope to begin discussion and implementation as soon as our operations start. And of course, ideas and suggestions from the community will also be part of this discussion. So Twitter, Discord, Telegram, YouTube, or other social media platforms won’t be the only places where we will be interacting with the community but they will remain the primary places for communication and updates.
Coming to the platform management plans, we have the following plans:
- YouTube collaborations with global creators to create videos regarding HNE
- Medium will be used to educate, update and spread awareness about the ecosystem via blogs and newsletters
- Our own YouTube channel will be set up for posting the proposed NFT Educational series, other videos, educative shorts, and possibly online interviews with people in the NFT space
- Twitter will primarily be a space for posting updates, promoting HNE, informational threads, growing the community, task-based competitions, educational Twitter spaces, etc.
- Telegram and Discord will be used to create engagement within the community. Users, NFT enthusiasts, creators, artists will come together to share ideas, opinions, update themselves on the latest projects, participate in contests, attend live events, etc. As you may know, Discord is THE place where NFT culture and hype are created, projects blossom and bloom before going mainstream. So our focus here will be collaborations with NFT projects and communities to bring in more awareness, audience, and engagement.
And for growth and retention we have these plans:
- Hosting games and surprise giveaways on Discord and Telegram
- Keeping the community informed about upcoming events, projects, and recent developments on social media. Also using relevant hashtags to attract users from relevant communities
- Taking community feedback and encouraging new people to participate in ONE governance to keep the interest alive
- Incentive programs based on the value a member provides to the community either by helping others, being active, or other such ideas
- Establishing personal relations by personalizing communication
- We also plan to design a Bounty Program where we could get people from different backgrounds to talk about HNE. The program will focus on content creation, information, social media promotions, etc. This will be discussed at a later point
- As mentioned in the proposal we will be keeping mods on Discord and Telegram to ensure engagement and proper functioning of the groups and channels
We will share weekly or bi-weekly stats of our social media engagement with Harmony community and take regular feedback. This will ensure transparency and make the program more community-driven. Thank you.

We want to take a moment to provide an update on the progress that we have made with our work, to give an idea about our plans for the near future in anticipation of a positive outcome to the active proposal for Harmony NFT Hub.
Firstly, we are proud to announce the launch of the new logo for Harmony NFT Hub as part of the ongoing identity construction. Here is why we chose the design for this logo.

We wanted to keep the identity aligned with the main Harmony Protocol logo so we looked at the ‘H’ for some inspiration and ideas

Without disturbing the main curved element of the ‘H’, we have used the actual ‘~’ element in a pixelated form which we find in many popular and trending NFTs and is a big part of NFT culture. It perfectly highlights the NFT characteristic of the DAO

We upgraded the 2D logo to a 3D form which is an increasing trend in the NFT and Metaverse world

The green and blue gradient in the logo is kept in line with Harmony colours to signify that the community is part of the Harmony Ecosystem
We are proud of the logo and hope the community will like it too!
Moving on to other updates,
- We have started the first phase of requirements gathering for the website and the team has many ideas. The website will not only be used to post our content but also will be a place where people will get to know about the Harmony NFT ecosystem and get information about new and upcoming NFT projects. It will also have space for advertising projects, links to videos, links to Harmony recognized social media channels, infographics, an events calendar, and testimonials from artists and creators as well
- We have created our Twitter account, Medium Page, Telegram group and channel, Discord server, YouTube channel, and Reddit user account. We are yet to share the invite links to the community but will start sharing them soon after setting them up with necessary control mechanisms. We are now looking to set up Notion and Clockify accounts for management and timekeeping and a multi-sig wallet will be made very soon according to the guidelines provided
- Last but not least, we have gathered information about possible collaborations for YouTube, Twitter, Discord, Telegram, etc. and continue to gather more info that will help us in the upcoming days
We firmly believe that we have an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the Harmony Ecosystem and look forward to a positive result to this proposal from Harmony so we can continue to work on delivering all of our promises. The Harmony DAO Ops team will resume approvals and funding on May, 1st. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we learn best practices and navigate the proposal process. In the meantime, please take a look at the updated DAO Funding Guidelines.

The Harmony DAO Ops team has decided to decline this proposal.
We have found over the past year of DAO operations that the organizations that don’t start with a large, dedicated community and a goal to fund themselves tend to have very low success rates. They tend to have a hard time recruiting additional community support and tend to bring limited value to the overall Harmony ecosystem.
The bar to receive a DAO bootstrap grant is now higher than it has been historically. In order to receive a bootstrap grant going forward, DAOs will need to evidence a high level of transparent reporting, robust community involvement and a business plan that reflects a commitment to self-funding. Further guidelines are being finalized and should be released in the comming week.
I apologize that this process has been lengthy and drawn-out and I appreciate yours and the DAO’s patience. Harmony and the DAO Ops team wanted to exhaust every option before responding with a declination.
Do not let this dissuade you or your DAOs passion to build on Harmony. Harmony is integrating new tools to help build a robust DAO ecosystem. I’m looking forward to your success.
