HarmonySportsDao

i really disagree that this is Bs , chains like tezos that spent millions of $ know the value sports can bring , the difference is that this dao is starting from down to up. if you had taken the time to read the proposal well enough ,the way funds are to be applied are stated, we cannot put a definite price on podcast or magazines , the price to get on a very popular podcast is not same with a less popular podcast, same goes for magazines, teams , athletes etc the budget we are working is most reasonable, for onchain metrics, you might have to be more specific, as the funds are being spent you can see the onchain data for that and not before

Will this DAO bring more liquidity to harmony ? If so how ?

from what I read yall are trying to promote the Harmony chain on sport events and magazines right? And I don’t see how this DAO can bring in revenue, tvl or having a sustainable system at all. No

you have to let people know about your product and how good it is , education comes first, on boarding from web 2 into 3, when people sufficiently understand your product, then they can pull in their liquidity.
educate different people from different spheres of life and experiences

i have carefully read the resources available regarding the creation of daos, it didnt say the reason for creating daos was to bring in revenue to harmony , to put it simply this dao is educational based, onboarding and sourcing for partnerships with a focus on sports .

seems you dont understand how big the sporting market is, its actually huge.
some sports teams and organizations contract their ticketing sales out to companies and they make commissions per sale, if we get a team to issue their ticketing system onchain for more transparency we would make revenue that can actually sustain our activities . same goe for the sales of memorabilia and other items
do you also know that these tickets can also be turned into an Nft which will be very valuable with time .
if this proposal is approved, after the bootstrap fund, the next phase to access further funding would be a clear road map on how harmony sports dao will become self sustaining.
Big things start small, dont forget that.

when is your next virtual meeting, maybe i can sit in and listen what your plans are. i can help you with Sports here in the Philippines. check out our twitter @ Harmony Philippines DAO. we are also involved in sports like Golf, and Car Racing, and many more.

i will chime in a few thoughts , but first
CAVEAT - i am not a memeber of this dao , but will love to be a part.

a simple google search can answer this question efficiently.

if they can capture value with any team , through ticketing sales , book keeping , sales of items. if any of this teams or athlethes or organization start using harmony for the above i mentioned , this is adoption we are talking about here. every blockchain strives towards adoption of its chain and products . my few cents

You literally did not answer anything lmaoo

A simple google search will give nothing realated to your project. If is available on google, then why this proposal even exist ?

you sound very toxic, read the caveat.
and yes a simple google search will answer your question except you dont understand the question you asked earlier

I don’t care about your coments about me here. I just want know how the community’s money is being spent on. I am asking you to quote the returns/ROI (i.e quantitatively/ORAs/SMART - use these methods to explain) we expect to get from the investment we are making into this DAO.

These aren’t the proper ways of explain the ROI. Kindly eloborate the KPIs and it’s benefits for the harmony ecosystem in terms of user growth on-chain, TVL etc.

@salwa if you can’t explain those, please leave this to the proposers. Also, you don’t have to reply unnecessarily without any usefulness. Thank You.

alright some numbers,
we have a base decision that any team/athletes/podcast/channel etc we will work with will meet this criteria.
Must have atleast 5000 community members in at least 3 different channels, channels could include any of the following, twitter, you tube, Facebook, Instagram, ticktock, snap chat, discord etc
this means that each event will reach out to 15000 people from those communities
so
3 sports event - 15,000 *3 = 45,000
4 sports podcasts- 15,000 *4 = 60,000
3 sports magazines - 15,000 * 3 = 45000
a total of 150,000 people
these are conservative estimates.
the call to action for those communities will be

  1. join harmony social media channels
  2. join Harmony sports Dao social media channels
  3. create a harmony wallet account through this link and get free one tokens
    1wallet
we are optimistic that at least 5% of these people will follow through the call to action and that will be 7500 people on boarded on-chain into the ecosystem, these people will come with their own strengths and skill sets . this figures could be more, we just using a very conservative estimate with a few variables. we will still continue to keep this people engaged in our various channels through bounties and other activities.
where will the funds to incentivize the newly created wallets come from?
we will use the left over funds from our work and divide it among the wallets or
we can contribute some funds form our individually ,

Good evening @ricki001 @ldicr3,

I wanted to take this time to ask a question based off of the $55,000 you have requested.

Disclaimer here… My employer has sponsored hundreds if not thousands of teams across the United States. Over 81% of your request is paid to governor salaries.

Maybe I am missing something here but are you aware that teams DON’T PAY YOU to sponsor them. You must pay for the teams jerseys, cleats, etc. if requested.

How can you afford to pay for sponsorships when over 81% of your requested funds are being paid to governors?

thanks!

I believe this DAO should collab with Multisig DAO for fast and efficient transactions of the 81% funds for governors’ salaries.

Maybe I could do extra special NFT for this one out of 10,000 DAO. Because I am inspired.

you can also sponsor in parts nit necessarily the whole kit otherwise cost will be too much, there areas of sponsorships and levels .

this is why we are focused on smaller teams , athletes and orgs.
governors work only on part time basis, our wage is fair. 20 hrs a month and on our own part as the governors we are not touching any of our pay till the end of the term, this is because we would decide how much to deduct so as to fund the incentives that will be given to the members brought onchain

Morning Alicia,
First question for you would be. I don’t see anyone by the name of Alicia as a member listed.
I take it you signed up a few days ago under another name from what is above??

Second, your quote of "you can also sponsor in parts not necessarily the whole kit otherwise cost will be too much, there areas of sponsorships and levels"

Can you please elaborate what that means? Sponsorships costs money. I understand and respect the governors only asking for $40 an hour but you still would have no funds left for marketing or sponsoring.
May I ask do you know what it costs today to fund lets say a 5-6 year old tee ball team? let’s just put full jerseys into the equation (13-15 kids for one team?)

Thanks again for your time!

there are levels of sponsorships in some cases there could be upto 4 levels.
eg
Level 1 sponsorship can include your logo on their jerseys , a column for your project on their newsletter, your project mentioned or put on their website etc
level 2 sponsorship can include your logo on their training kits only ,your project featured on their memorabilia like note books, writing items, mophlers etc
level 3 sponsorship can include your project featured on their billboard, social channels and others.

you did not put into account that what it costs to sponsor Tee ball team in Europe is not same to do it in middle east, Caribbean, Africa or in Asia. this costs are still negotiable depending on the relationship or contacts you have, i can speak very well for Africa where i am based.
secondly we are not limited to football teams, their are other options as well, hand ball, volleyball, rugby, cricket traditional sports , sports festivals etc
Thanks for your time
