Evening,
Sorry I have not had a chance to step away from work today.
I appreciate your feedback on my questions above.
My only point from your response is, if the costs of things are so low in your country, why are you charging $40 an hour as governor? Why not $15,20,etc? Again, a little over 80% of the grant money would go towards governors.
18% of remaining liquid would not be near enough to sponsor 'ANY’ sort of sport event, activity, etc.
Last, how many communities could you possibly reach out to when you have so little funds from the get go?
This is equivalent to be being an owner of a lawn mower service. I get $80 of the $100 total right off the top. I give you $20 but then tell you I want you to go use your $20 and pay for my advertising, marketing, etc.
you still miss a few things, i never mentioned so low ( i dont know what you mean by so low) i only said that if you are paying 10,000 usd to sponsor a tee ball team, it does not mean it same across every continent of the world, spending half of that in another climate does that translate to being so low? besides if you tell me how much you and your employer are spending on sponsorship and your sponsorship objectives, we can strike a deal, i get same results for you and your employer and keep the balance that comes, you may dm me privately lets discuss that. there just might be a few things we understand about sports sponsorships that you and your employer dont.
this comparison is more like comparing apples and oranges .
we have already outlined our goals and deliverables .
i see your responses are gradually loosing objectivity and begining to sound harsh, lets keep things respectful.
what we intend to achieve if this dao is approved is clearly outlined .
from this statement i clearly see the type of mindset you have.
how does eating with friends and family translate into a sponsored sports event and how does that align with the objectives of the dao
Harsh?
You only give the most generic reach of a response so far.
Let’s look at your original metrics for success:
1)- sponsor at least 2 sporting events (How?)
2)- Feature AT LEAST one Harmony team on 2 sports podcast
3)- Setup Harmony sportsdao twitter channel (Why haven’t you already done this? It doesn’t cost you anything?)
4)- Feature harmony one on AT LEAST (AGAIN) 1 sports magazine (What magazine have you partnered with?)
Your metrics are bare minimum as you possibly could get bud…
Sorry it’s just my opinion. Still a hard no from me but it is solely up to the Harmony Team.
Emotional Appeals don’t work here and are irrelevant even if you bring it up. Emotional Appeal show that your are either lousy or don’t have an answer. Please answer the questions to the point with attention for details and with required supporting evidences.
I want to remind you again that your proposal is overly broad. You should focus on a particular set of sports. I would also like to see a pilot program partnership with a sports team and how that actually adds value to Harmony.
I would like to deliver a brief update from Harmony.
All approvals and proposals for DAO Bootstrap Funding are still paused. This is a temporary measure. Please do not let this dissuade you and your team from building.
note: this comment is not an approval of this proposal
The Harmony DAO Ops team has decided to decline this proposal.
We have found over the past year of DAO operations that the organizations that don’t start with a large, dedicated community and a goal to fund themselves tend to have very low success rates. They tend to have a hard time recruiting additional community support and tend to bring limited value to the overall Harmony ecosystem.
The bar to receive a DAO bootstrap grant is now higher than it has been historically. In order to receive a bootstrap grant going forward, DAOs will need to evidence a high level of transparent reporting, robust community involvement and a business plan that reflects a commitment to self-funding. Further guidelines are being finalized and should be released in the comming week.
I apologize that this process has been lengthy and drawn-out and I appreciate yours and the DAO’s patience. Harmony and the DAO Ops team wanted to exhaust every option before responding with a declination.
Do not let this dissuade you or your DAOs passion to build on Harmony. Harmony is integrating new tools to help build a robust DAO ecosystem. I’m looking forward to your success.
