Proposal overview

Imbue is a decentralized live streaming platform. Everything from payments, to streaming tech, to the DNS to the site itself is built entirely on top of web3 technologies.

Creators influencer many of the decisions consumers make today. One of the biggest decisions a someone coming into crypto today is which layer 1 they will be onboarded to. Given an easy to use alternative to the web 2.0 counterpart any influencer is using, they will bring their users with them which will be a significant source of new wallets and new users to not only harmony, but the blockchain space as a whole.

We’re live on harmony testnet and just went live on harmony mainnet. It’s also live on optimistic ethereum and optimistic Kovan. We working with influencers who are testing the product on smaller audiences and providing feedback to make better experiences for all parties.

Milestones are for the next 6 months:

  1. month 1 - Metrics: first 10 influencer streaming weekly, $100/week in volume Product : share screen and custom broadcasting options
  2. month 2 - Metrics: 25 influencers streaming weekly, $1000/week in volume, Product: launch NFT option for payment on Harmony (checks wallet for NFT as ticket to enter)
  3. month 3 - Metrics: 50 influencers streaming weekly $2500/week in volume, Product: Support all wallets and mobile lives streaming/viewing
  4. month 4 - Metrics: 100 influencers streaming weekly $5000/week in volume, Product: Begin building DAO structure, launch features to support influencers (notifications, in stream tips, nft minting and other recommendations from influencers)
  5. month 5 - Metrics: 175 influencers streaming weekly $ 12000/week in volume Product: finish writing token contract
  6. month 6 - Metrics: 250 influencers streaming weekly $ $25000/week in volume, Product token launch to reward early users and launch DAO

Currently, I lead growth at Presearch. Our tech lead has been developing in the web3 space for 2.5 years and has worked contractually with many NFT, DeFi and utility token projects we know and love today. Velkjo leads influencer partnerships, he’s a tik toker with nearly 1 million followers. Our team has everything we need to get to product market fit, we just need runway.

Can you please share some details around how the content creators are rewarded and how the project funds these contributors?

How are creators rewarded?

  • currently, they set their own prices for their live stream (or make it free!). When we decide to create our own token, they will likely be rewarded retroactively for their contributions, similar to other airdrops in the space.

  • the project won’t fund the contributions, 95%+ all of the funds will go into product development. The other 5% may be used in specific instances where an influencer may want a guaranteed payout (i.e. minimum $250 for 1hr stream). If they don’t hit the marker with marketing to their audience, they would be paid the minimum agreed upon. This would be reserved for influencers with 1M+ on social platforms and would be for the first 3 streams that the influencer does.

This proposal fits best to the Launch grant based on the guidelines at Apply for Grants or DAO

Applications of each launch must have prototyped a feature-full product. Harmony helps incubate these founding teams with product development, fundraising, and talent recruit.
We recommend a $50K equity-free contribution each:

$10K after launching a feature-complete product on our testnet,
$10K after forming a DAO with 5-out-of-9 multisig with our DAOs,
$10K after launching on our mainnet with audit,
$10K after 1K daily active users (with launch video, full PR promotion),
$10K after 10k daily active users (with a detailed roadmap, governance process).

Moreover, we recommend a 5-out-9 multisig account on Gnosis Safe with 3 governors from the project team, 3 governors from the project community, and 3 governors from Harmony DAOs – namely, ONEcommunityDAO, ONEdeveloperDAO, ONEincubatorDAO.

In all cases, we ask for 3-month exclusive campaigns with Harmony before more porting with other chains. We also offer follow-on investments – see 50 Investments ($20M) above; but, at the moment, you must have an outside, lead investor for us to match the funding terms. All codes, development materials and production assets must be fully open, preferrably with MIT or BSD licences; weekly updates must on sent on forum; and, all server deploys or mobile apps must be easily clonable.
