Proposal overview

according to one of our validators based in the area, dozens of ONE enthusiasts are active in the area. ocassionally they travel to LA for meetups, but geographically it is far. this event will provide an informal setting for most of them to gather together, meet in person for the first time. this will also be an opportunity for them to meet up some of our community organizers, as well as to get introduced to the projects of our strategic collaborators / partners.

Proposal ask

5-10k (will not try to claim for more than what the restaurant receipt shows, so probably < 5k)

Justification

based on the guidelines for 4+ speakers (including our partner Chainlink), for 50-100+ people (venue capacity = 100 max, so just in case)

Metrics for success

50+ attendees, as shown by meetup.com RSVP numbers (to be confirmed at venue too)
also 10+ subsequent sign up to Harmony LA signup group

Hey there!

I’m Michael and I’m a Devops Engineer that will I believe be working with the harmony team. I am located in the Orange County area and wish I would have been able to make it to the meet up on Thursday. It sounds like there’s a pretty good number of Harmonauts out this way. I look forward to meeting you and everyone else on the 20th.

It’s pretty cool knowing we have a validated out this way and look forward to being able to provide some guidance to our community of such wonderful people.
