On Wednesday, February 2nd, the Community DAO (CDAO) hosted an event inside the metaverse at The Crypto Arcade. The event ran from 8:00am UTC on the 2nd until 8:00am UTC on the 3rd. As part of the full day events, the CDAO hosted two stand alone events.
The first event was a ‘Community Quest’ that required users to complete 5 tasks setup at various interaction points throughout the space. Each individual that completed the tasks has or will soon be receiving an NFT created specially for the event by the Creative DAO’s Loechii.
From the list of those that completed the tasks, 1 person was selected at random to receive a 1000 ONE grand prize from the Community DAO discretionary budget. The tasks involved filling out the Community DAO Feedback Form Community DAO Feedback Form, liking a talk.harmony.one post related to the event in an effort to get more users to the platform (Harmony Protocol Community - Quest begins in less than 24 hours!), signing up to attend ETH Denver, either virtually or in person, and checking in at a couple of fun spots within the Crypto Arcade space. Congrats to @ThatCryptoClown @clown, the winner of the grand prize drawing.
The second full day event was a Mrs. Pac-Man high score contest setup in one of the game rooms near the main stage. The top score received 500 ONE, while 2nd place received 100 ONE, both paid out from the discretionary budget as well. Congratulations to @AffinityShard for winning his high score of 31810 and to @Sayan1308Kar for his 2nd place score of 13710.
Also taking place that day from the hours of 7:00pm UTC - 11:00pm UTC, we hosted a fantastic list of guest speakers. We would like to thank representatives from HarmonyCommunityDAO, @harmony_dev_dao, @HarmonyCreativeDAO, the Validator DAO, OpenSwap, Defi Kingdoms, @Metatrone, as well as @frwrdslosh for taking the time to communicate with the community and provide an informative, interesting day of talks. It was a successful event with attendance peaking just shy of 50, but with people coming and going throughout.
Also wanted to thank @buythefndip from the Creative DAO for his assistance in providing the flyer for the event and last, but certainly not least of all @Pikzel from the Crypto Arcade for helping so much with putting the event together.
