Proposal Overview

The Web3 ecosystem is growing rapidly with new projects added every day, but the inadequacy of social responsibility and real-world impact projects caught our attention.

In most countries, the animals in shelters cannot reach enough food due to insufficient donations (even in Cat City, Istanbul). Petori DAO tries to bring a sustainable and self-sufficient solution to this problem.

The first aim of Petori DAO is to make a decentralized application called Petori that will enable it to make donations to associations, or animal shelters that carry out studies for treating stray animals, nesting them, and raising public awareness.

Petori dApp Deliverables

• When associations or animal shelters need donations, they should open proposals in which they list their needs (foods, general & medical supplies, etc.).

• All transactions are made with digital signatures encrypted with the elliptic curve method in the digital wallets of the shelters.

• All money transfers can be viewed transparently and expenses are shown as evidence by shelters. This way, donators can see the expenditures and effects of their donations.

• After the association proposal is completed, donations are paid to the associations in a timely manner, without the need for any other action.

• Associations can only open a new proposal if there is no proposal already opened from the respective association, or an opened proposal budget has been fully funded, and expenses are shown as evidence by the association.

• Donators can earn NFT badges that can be shared to incentive and attract new donators to the platform.

She has been working with AWS solutions for 2 years in a web development company. Nowadays she is interested in Golang and NoSQL databases. In love with Tarantino cinematography.

He is happy when his cat (Isabel, btw) sitting in his lap while writing smart contracts in Solidity. He was working with AI video pipelines at Nvidia distributor company OpenZeka before getting involved with blockchain. Currently writing a thesis about his new consensus algorithm.

Solax - Digital Content Creator

She is working as a freelance content creator with various Turkish influencers for about 3 years. Good at naming things (she found the name “Patori”!). Blends art and technology, and creates incredible NFT assets in her free time.

Tomris - Social Media Specialist

She is a member of the Haysev Association which lends a hand to animals in need. Worked as a Social Media Specialist in Cointoxs for about 1 year. Turns into Charlie’s angels when she works with Solax. She visits animal shelters periodically and therefore she knows the needs and problems of the animal shelters.

Hilgarria - Financial and Legal Manager

He has graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Law. Has been interested in the crypto and blockchain ecosystems for about 3 years and frequently trades coins. Currently conducting studies on bringing blockchain legislation to Turkey.

Mastadont - Event Organizer

He is the founder of the IEEE Student Chapter with the responsibility to plan events, from pre-planning, through the event day, and post-event activities. He is currently attending crypto conferences as much as possible. Also very upset because he couldn’t attend to ETHDenver. That’s why he aims to organize ETHIstanbul!

Election Schedule

Petori DAO governors will serve for a 3-month-term. Each member of the DAO can run for governors including the present governors.

Sustainability & Future Plans

We know that the Harmony grant is only for the initial term. After 3 months, the Petori DAO will be in contact with influencers and sponsors for self-sustainability. We have already contacted some Turkish influencers who saw the passion in our eyes, and want to support us in multiple ways which consist of marketing, sponsoring, etc.

After deploying Petori dApp to the Harmony Mainnet, within the pilot program, donations are only available for 3 animal shelters. But, Petori DAO is much more than this! We want to show care not only for Turkey animal shelters & associations but also for global stray animals too.

So our selected next governors in the specified election schedule section will help us to accomplish this goal! We know that diversity is required for DAOs, but in this case, it is not only required but also needed!

Also, please note that we are currently revising the Harmony DAO Bootstrap program. We believe that a “Minimally Viable DAO” is one that has accomplished, at least, the following three items:

1. Established a multisig wall with a 5 out of 9 signature requirement.
2. Held an election for those 9 signatories that includes at least 12 candidates and over 100 voters.
3. Has issued an “Membership Token” of some sort (a DAO NFT, for example)

Minimally Viable DAO

Here, we will list our thoughts and plans about constructing a Minimally Viable DAO. @frwrdslosh

1. We have already established a MultiSig wallet with a 5 out of 9 signature requirement with our governors. You can see it in our above comments.

2. When we get approved, the first thing we will do is held an election for those 9 signatories that includes at least 12 candidates and over 100 voters. We are going to open an election proposal in a voting system (probably over Snapshot) and choose the 9 elected governors. We have already created a team but if there are people that want to contribute to our DAO so much, then we are happy to welcome them.

3. We have already thought to integrate an NFT system with our badges that will be given to donators for every donation they sent. Different donation amounts will give different badges that can encourage people and give them a tangible thank you for their contribution.

   Actually, Membership Token is a really good idea. We have discussed this issue with our governors and we would like to share some ideas with you. We plan to create a token system that will give benefits to the community and Petori dApp donators. We have already discussed this with Harmony Turkey (@0xshadow) and our governors and you can see the conclusion in the above comment. As the Membership Token, we thought the name as PORI or PET??, don’t know which is more welcomed and maybe we can open vote with the community for this

   For every donation, we would like to send some amount of Membership Token that can be used to vote in the defined voting system. The amount of tokens to be sent changes according to the donation amount, and it increases linearly and proportionally. For every voting proposal, there will be a required held Membership Token limit to vote that proposal.

   We are considering starting with these ideas and we are aware that this token idea needs to be developed for self-sustainability. Although we have ideas on this subject, as it will take a long time to configure, we will vote these ideas in a voting system with the communities and individuals who support us. As a result, we believe that we will establish a more developed and sustainable structure.

   Finally, we do not want to use this Membership Token only in the voting system. We want to turn it into a system that will provide benefits to the community and also to the Petori dApp platform users. We are in discussion with our governors on this issue as well.

Solax - Digital Content Creator

She is working as a freelance content creator with various Turkish influencers for about 3 years. Good at naming things (she found the name “Patori”!). Blends art and technology, and creates incredible NFT assets in her free time.

Tomris - Social Media Specialist

She is a member of the Haysev Association which lends a hand to animals in need. Worked as a Social Media Specialist in Cointoxs for about 1 year. Turns into Charlie’s angels when she works with Solax. She visits animal shelters periodically and therefore she knows the needs and problems of the animal shelters.

Hilgarria - Financial and Legal Manager

He has graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Law. Has been interested in the crypto and blockchain ecosystems for about 3 years and frequently trades coins. Currently conducting studies on bringing blockchain legislation to Turkey.

Mastadont - Event Organizer

He is the founder of the IEEE Student Chapter with the responsibility to plan events, from pre-planning, through the event day, and post-event activities. He is currently attending crypto conferences as much as possible. Also very upset because he couldn’t attend to ETHDenver. That’s why he aims to organize ETHIstanbul!

Election Schedule

Petori DAO governors will serve for a 3-month-term. Each member of the DAO can run for governors including the present governors.

Sustainability & Future Plans

We know that the Harmony grant is only for the initial term. After 3 months, the Petori DAO will be in contact with influencers and sponsors for self-sustainability. We have already contacted some Turkish influencers who saw the passion in our eyes, and want to support us in multiple ways which consist of marketing, sponsoring, etc.

After deploying Petori dApp to the Harmony Mainnet, within the pilot program, donations are only available for 3 animal shelters. But, Petori DAO is much more than this! We want to show care not only for Turkey animal shelters & associations but also for global stray animals too.

So our selected next governors in the specified election schedule section will help us to accomplish this goal! We know that diversity is required for DAOs, but in this case, it is not only required but also needed!

Minimally Viable DAO

Here, we will list our thoughts and plans about constructing a Minimally Viable DAO.

1. Established a multisig wall with a 5 out of 9 signature requirement: We have already established a MultiSig wallet with a 5 out of 9 signature requirement with our governors. You can see it in our above comments.

2. Held an election for those 9 signatories that includes at least 12 candidates and over 100 voters: When we get approved, the first thing we will do is held an election for those 9 signatories that includes at least 12 candidates and over 100 voters. We are going to open an election proposal in a voting system (probably over Snapshot) and choose the 9 elected governors. We have already created a team but if there are people that want to contribute to our DAO so much, then we are happy to welcome them.

3. Has issued an “Membership Token” of some sort (a DAO NFT, for example): We have already thought to integrate an NFT system with our badges that will be given to donators for every donation they sent. Different donation amounts will give different badges that can encourage people and give them a tangible thank you for their contribution.

   Actually, Membership Token is a really good idea. We have discussed this issue with our governors and we would like to share some ideas with you. We plan to create a token system that will give benefits to the community and Petori dApp donators. We have already discussed this with Harmony Turkey and our governors and you can see the conclusion in the above comment. As the Membership Token, we thought the name as PORI or PET??, don’t know which is more welcomed and maybe we can open vote with the community for this

   For every donation, we would like to send some amount of Membership Token that can be used to vote in the defined voting system. The amount of tokens to be sent changes according to the donation amount, and it increases linearly and proportionally. For every voting proposal, there will be a required held Membership Token limit to vote that proposal.

   We are considering starting with these ideas and we are aware that this token idea needs to be developed for self-sustainability. Although we have ideas on this subject, as it will take a long time to configure, we will vote these ideas in a voting system with the communities and individuals who support us. As a result, we believe that we will establish a more developed and sustainable structure.

   Finally, we do not want to use this Membership Token only in the voting system. We want to turn it into a system that will provide benefits to the community and also to the Petori dApp platform users. We are in discussion with our governors on this issue as well.
