TavernDAO (previously Gaming For Good Gaming Guild) is an all-in-one play-to-earn GameFi platform solving the following problems of scholars, guilds, and game developers. TavernDAO’s community grew exponentially from 50 Discord members to 5200 members in the span of 5 months and we have given out at least 500 Axie Infinity and WonderHero scholarships in the process.

As the metaverse matures, guilds are slowly transitioning into their second phase of value contribution. Some are angling towards becoming giant guilds (YGG) and some are angling towards tooling/platform solutions (GuildFi).

TavernDAO aims to be the latter (Tooling Solution/Platform) and we soon noticed that all GameFi platform solutions aspire to solve the following problems, which we dub the Triangle Of Value.

The core differentiation for each platform lies in the main point of focus and also the scope of value in the triangle of value above, for example, GuildFi has a very strong focus on solving problems that are faced by Guilds; Seedify, on the other hand, is focused on problems faced by game developers.

Scholars First (Our Approach)

We take a scholars first approach to penetrate the triangle of value because of the nature of our mission which we dub the scholar-experience obsession, we believe that by creating a platform that is being obsessively used by scholars, it will form a compelling force that will attract both guilds and game developers, plus, having served 500+ scholars, we understand the core pains that they’re going through more clearly.

Ultimately, our goal is to enable each party to perform each of the following functions:

After building the network effect between scholars and guilds, we foresee the facilitation of more features for guilds and game developers that are looking to launch on our platform. But until then, we are extremely focused on the scholars’ experience.

$TVN Tokens

A DAO is not possible without its community. The ultimate goal for TavernDAO is to become a fully community-owned DAO. As such, a sufficiently large base of $TVN holders is needed to prevent an overpowering voice. Initial $TVN holders are carefully selected based on the value-add that they can provide to jumpstart and ensure the success of TavernDAO.

Harmony has gained a reputation of being the GameFi chain, a reputation which has grown immensely thanks to DeFi Kingdom and we foresee that more Gamefi notoriety can and will be built on Harmony by us.

2. Interoperability - The Future

Harmony isn’t aiming to be THE chain but instead it understands that the future is an interoperable one, their vision of obsessive chain bridging to hundreds of chains in the coming few years is very much aligned with our vision as well, crypto gamers will come from all walks of life and definitely all types of chains.

3. Low Fees, Fast Transactions

GameFi-related transactions will require low fees and faster transactions; a lot of our features will be gamified in the future, and Harmony’s speed and low fees is perfectly tailored to our use case.

Our platform will attract the next millions of crypto users through NFT gaming and Harmony Protocol will be one of the first chains that they interact with on TavernDAO to find their ideal scholarships or games.

Aside from funding, we are looking for Harmony’s help with product development, fundraising, and talent recruitment.

Even though this is clearly a DAO, but it’s structured very well as a Launch grant, with a clear roadmap, a proof-of-concept, path to adoption and focus on bringing in scholars of gamers, to attract game studios and game guilds.

“Testnet Launch” means launching a feature-complete product on Harmony Testnet. We define feature complete to include a user interface, connection to a wallet (Metamask, Harmony ONE Chrome Extension, etc.) on Testnet, and can be tested end-to-end by at least 100 users.
