I’m writing to announce my candidacy for an interim Community DAO council position for the remainder of the Q1 2022 term.
I’ve had the pleasure of working on the Creative DAO since its inception and recent 3-month term renewal, and in that time I’ve enjoyed getting to know many of you better. We have accomplished a lot in a short time despite some obstacles, and I think my role on the creative DAO synergizes well with a community DAO position, especially as both DAOs continue to work closely together into the future and share overlapping needs.
I bring to the table a broad skill set and a “figure it out and get it done” attitude owing to my years of experience working with startup companies and founders.
I’ve enjoyed jumping on as many cDAO twitter spaces as possible over recent months and getting to learn about the cDAO mission. I look forward to contributing to this outstanding team and continuing to bring value to our amazing community!
You can read my original crDAO bio for further background, and I will provide some recent work deliverables as a portfolio sample.

Thank you for submitting your candidacy Greg, we at @HarmonyCommunityDAO will form a channel for communication following the field closing, feel free to begin campaigning through Reddit, Twitter, Instagram or any media channels you wish to use, please remain visible during this week to allow for a smooth campaign.
I enjoyed sharing and hearing from the other candidates on the Twitter space today. I’d like to share my written responses here in follow-up.
Question 1) The Community DAO mandates are as follows:
Growth: to onboard users on missions and culture and to pollinate values across communities
Engagement: to amplify content of roadmap and milestones with creative campaigns of products
Diversity: to solicit voices and votes in forums and reinforce strong governance participation
Is there one of these mandates you feel most passionate about and what are your strengths and skills that you feel could be useful in achieving it?
In my mind it’s impossible to pick just one because I view each of these as subcomponents of a single greater process: you engage with a diverse community to promote growth. I bring to the team a diverse skillset built over years of leading my marketing company working with many startups and small businesses. I have a “figure it out and get it done” approach that is especially important for the accountability required to work in a DAO.
Question 2) What does being a part of a DAO mean to you and what do you envision the responsibilities of being a CDAO governor to be?
Two words that have resonated with me throughout my time in the Creative DAO so far have been stewardship and initiative. As DAO governors we must remain faithful stewards of the trust and responsibility given to us by the community. This requires us to walk with integrity, use good judgment, and maintain high work quality.
Initiative is required because there isn’t anybody to tell you what needs to be done - it comes down to individuals stepping up and rallying consensus for positive change. Being a DAO governor requires willingness to step up and be a leader.
Question 3) Are there any specific ideas you have that you wish to explore if you are elected to serve the remainder of this term, keeping the mandates in mind?
I’d like to work on improving intra-DAO communication and collaboration. As the number of core DAOs grows and ancillary DAOs are launched daily, we should seek to leverage the power of our strength in numbers and work closely together toward our shared goals. I’ll be seeking to facilitate this communication and collaboration so we can scale together effectively!
