Crypto Live Event

Proposal overview

According to Luno, only 15% of South Africans owned cryptocurrency in late 2021. We believe there’s great potential for growth, it is our mission to educate and increase adoption in our country.

To realize our mission, we created in-person events called Crypto Live. Crypto Live is an educational and interactive workshop held annually in 2 cities in South Africa. It is the brainchild of famous local DJ Sbu and Crypto University founder Grey Jabesi. We launched in 2021 with 2 sold-out events in Johannesburg and Cape Town.


We created a semi-formal, interactive workshop showcasing the latest 2021 trends in Cryptocurrency, DeFi & NFTs. Attendees were encouraged to bring their laptops and smartphones and take action.

We plan to do the same Crypto Live Events in November 2022. This event will not only create awareness about the Harmony ecosystem, but also educate and increase blockchain technology adoption as a whole in South Africa. The aim of this event is to create a conducive environment to learn about the Harmony ecosystem, other Blockchain trends in 2022 and how to use this technology to empower yourself.

Venue

Workshop17 offers a flexible and friction-free environment where South Africa’s innovative minds can find connections and networking opportunities.

Food

A light breakfast and lunch will be served.

Free Parking

Free parking for all ticket holders is reserved.

After-Party

Your ticket is an automatic invitation to the after-party.

We will put together a goodie bag which includes:

Proposal ask

We ask for $20 000 for the events in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Metrics for success

100 tickets in each city

even though it might not meet the requirements we have for the events let’s look at it from another angel. what if you can review the possibility to set and operate (together with 9 governors) the South African Regional DAO for Harmony?
