Harmonious Dude - Kyle

-To start off, Edd Norris came on to speak about his recently funded proposal regarding onboarding Indie NFT projects from other chains and how it would work. It would primarily be geared towards Ethereum based projects, due to the chain’s abundance of projects and because Harmony is EVM compatible. The goal is to search out smaller tight knit communities that may be getting lost in the shuffle with the sheer amount of ETH NFT projects or maybe are finding the cost of doing business on the chain is proving to be prohibitive. The funding appears to be falling under the jurisdiction of the CDAO to help organize the function of this proposal. Collaboration with the dev DAO is likely to be necessary.

-Next, Harmonious Dude came on to give a brief update of the events going on: the passage of HCIP-02 (discretionary budget), the upcoming charter ratification vote, the CDAO collaborating with the Creative DAO to create an educational video about DAOs and infographics, encouraging people to participate in the “what Harmony means to me’ post on talk.harmony.one, the upcoming DayONE event in San Francisco, and also a mention of the crypto arcade Harmony meetups every wednesday at 2:00 EST.

-Bloomin then came on and asked about the trustless Ethereum bridge and what makes it different from the current bridge in use. Edd took this question and explained it will allow for automated troubleshooting of bridging issues, whereas currently, the Harmony team has needed to be involved to solve any issues that arise.

-Mitch then came on and asked about updates on progress of the 20% apy in the roadmap. Edd once again came on to share that it is being tested and worked on and they are trying to allow for staking of wrapped tokens. Then there was a brief discussion about how the dates on the roadmap are important, but that if they are not met, then it may not be cause for concern, but rather encouraging because it means that issues are being discovered and worked on before being pushed through to mainnet. Strong Minds Hold used the comparison that if you bought a new car and the delivery was delayed, you would not show up at the plant and demand that you be given your incomplete vehicle off of the factory line.

-There was then a brief discussion about staking and how your delegations mean so much more than just the one you earn and that it is important to look at things like how they vote on governance and their involvement in the community. There was a suggestion that the VDAO could perhaps educate more on the other implications of your delegations besides just the amount you earn. Also, it was mentioned that it might be useful to have a place to view how each validator has voted.

-Hacktheworld.eth then asked about how to view snapshot proposals and where to see who is involved in daos (dao.harmony.one). He expressed a desire to be able to have a one stop shop where you can view all harmony projects and events. SMH and Harmonious Dude mentioned Harmony Universe as a great resource and the potential reemergence of Harmony Hub. Edd then suggested that we could make better use of tools such as coordinape and Aragorn. To facilitate community awareness and involvement.

-Next, Edd came back on to share that the devDAO is meeting every Tuesday at 9:00am PST and encouraged all to join. He then explained that the DevDAO largely works to bring developers together and get them placed in needed positions. He also spoke to how there is plenty of opportunity at the moment and that anyone interested should reach out to him or anyone else on the dao to be guided in the right direction.

-Kevin (Brother ONE) then came on to bring up gitbook and a potential collab between many daos to create a central location with all of the guides and tools that any user or potential user of harmony can be directed to.

-Niko then came on to share that there is a Harmony event in NYC on December 17th and wished that there could be a place where anyone can add to a calendar any harmony-related events, so that the community can have better notice.

-Closing statements and brief overview of the upcoming events and votes mentioned above.
