Sam Harrison and Devin Marty’s Investment Thesis: Adoption and the NEXT 100 Million.

According to Glassnode, Ethereum Wallet addresses with non-zero balances hit nearly 72M in December of 2021.

So – what tools, what services, or products will drive the NEXT 100 Million?

Adoption and the Three Paths to 100M:

  1. Usability Drives Usage : Web3 MUST move away from niche-centric user interfaces. ANY product or team we invest in must have UI / UX as a primary pillar of their product.

  2. Reputation : “On the internet, no one knows you are a dog”, “if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, acts like a duck… it’s a duck” We will find tools that will permit an individual’s REPUTATION to be primary in the Web3 universe. Multi-factor Authentication in Web2 was a combination of “Something you have”, “Something you know”, and “Something you are”… Web3 can supersede that with “Something you’ve done”

  3. Memetic : Memetics describes how an idea can propagate successfully. “Meme” was conceived as a “unit of culture”, an idea, belief, pattern of behavior, which is hosted in the minds of one or more individuals and can reproduce and “jump” from the mind of one person to the mind of another.

Based on our analysis and current trends, we believe that funding projects geared towards these three concepts will provide Harmony with the greatest likelihood of return.

Daniel P. & Mikey | Investment Thesis:

:blue_heart: Passion

  • Community :globe_with_meridians:

We are seeking projects with passionate communities that exist across multiple social media platforms. Communities that encourage participation, camaraderie, and education within the ecosystem. We feel the passion and mindset of a community is greater than their numbers.

  • Team :busts_in_silhouette:

The team should be doxxed and committed to building their project. The team should be closely engaged with their community; actively seeking opportunities to showcase their work through transparency and open communication. Building with a heads-down, project-first approach should be at the forefront of their mission.

:speech_balloon: Projects

  • Open Source & Ethical

We are seeking projects which are open-source and do no societal or communal harm.

  • Project Types

    • The NFT art-wave is continually gaining momentum. We’re excited to see the different ways NFTs can be utilized in the real world and engage with the teams behind those creative efforts.

    • GameFi is another avenue that is seeing an explosive uptick in growth and public interest. We are hoping to meet teams that look to push the boundaries of what games can do on the blockchain. These projects should be game-focused with complimentary tokenomics and NFTs.

    • DAO’s on Harmony are getting bootstrapped from the $300M Ecosystem Fund, but what’s next? We are looking to meet teams building tools to help DAOs become self-sufficient and more efficient in their overall operations.

Gabriel & Boris - Investment Thesis

Web3 Phygital Economy - The synergy of physical and virtual assets to increase utility and access, driving ecosystem growth and social change.

Web3 is enabling ownership to individuals, allowing them to take back the value they create with their digital signature including their data, engagement and financials. As a result, trillions of dollars have accrued in value digitally with a borderless reach, and yet there is still a grave gap in how we’re able to translate this wealth in our physical world.

By connecting the physical world (i.e. the one we touch and see around us) and virtual world (i.e. Web3) we are able to solve issues unique to each space individually. Moreover, this seamless connection can accelerate economic growth in developing markets by removing relative high-cost barriers of entry and increasing user engagement in the ecosystem. Investing in the “phygital economy”, enables the break down of barriers to accessibility and participation in asset ownership that would otherwise be marginalized and institutionalized; ultimately having a greater impact on social change.
