I think it’s a great idea. French remains one of the main lingua franca (pun intended), and is spoken/known in about a third of the African continent.
With the low fees and a vision to connect billions of people, Harmony has all interests to have documentation and interfaces translated into french.
I’m thinking specifically about Madagascar (as I know), where people would definitely benefit from Harmony wallet being accessible here.
Note: I am myself a native french speaker, so while I am fluent in English, I’m probably not 100% objective :o).

Nous n’avons toujours pas eu de retour de la part de harmony. Nous espérons avoir un retour au plus vite. Le cas échéant nous devrons adapter notre roadmap.
Notre roadmap depend à 100% de harmony (acceptation du projet, acceptation du budget en totalité, date d’attribution du budget).
De notre côté nous sommes prêt à commencer dès que nous aurons un accord. Contrairement à d’autres DAOs nous avons commencé à travailler en amont (organiser le travail, établir un budget, former une équipe complète, établir une base solide de contacts au sein de la communauté crypto francophone, compte Twitter @harmonyfrance, fournir un support au sein de la communauté etc…).
Je répète nous sommes prêt et espérons concrétiser ce DAO au plus vite

We still haven’t heard back from harmony. We hope to have a return as soon as possible. If necessary, we will have to adapt our roadmap (ex: start in January).
Our roadmap depends 100% of harmony (acceptance of the project, acceptance of the entire budget, date of allocation of the budget).
On our side we are ready to start as soon as we have an agreement. We started to work upstream (organize the work, establish a budget, form a complete team, establish a solid base of contacts within the French-speaking crypto community, @harmonyfrance Twitter account, provide support to the within the community etc…).
I repeat we are ready and hope to achieve this DAO as soon as possible
